Very good experience at this location, my only thing is chicken should definitely be a option when making a omelette not a 6.99 up charge… but it was good, I wish they offered chicken sausage like Cracker Barrel but can’t have it all. I did like the new updated menu very simple to choose from!

Okay I must be honest it’s been a few minutes since I’ve stopped at a truck to stop and eat ,but tonight Justified it because we had a late night business thing in Slidell ,where we met the other party there was a Country Pride restaurant in the TA truck stop my wife suggested we go ahead and eat something I got to try there fried steak with mashed potatoes and beans AMAZING! and my wife got white fish, broccoli and broccoli cheese soup that white fish was beyond spectacular rivaled any white fish I’ve had at the nicest restaurants on the coast and when they told me that there’s an outside chance that they can close the restaurant I was truly saddened because this place deserves a lot of local business so if you’re anywhere in the area and you’re looking for some good home cooking they have one excellent cook there at night time and a really nice waitress who made us feel very much at home! We will try to come back again, and hopefully, it’ll be thriving. God bless the Country Pride restaurant at the TA truck stop in Slidell on Gause Street

Not that good. Bacon tasted rancid, spoiled. My egg were over cooked. My French toast was good and my husband was glad I only ate half because he was able to eat the other half, because his food wasn’t that good. The sausage gravy wasn’t good, the sausage also tasted bad. We did get a discount, but if I have to choose to walk to a different restaurant, I will walk to a different restaurant.

I love eating at any country pride but this one. The lady had this un welcoming attitude. We asked what she had to drink and she said Pepsi drinks so we ordered Pepsi then there’s none..we order food & my plate is broken. The portions were a joke & everything look & tasted like it was watered down chicken very dry like it was there for a while. As we’re eating the lady not once asks if we need more drinks refills just brings our check like we’re done which we were not. My husband had to go to her to get cake we wanted. She brought it like she just pild them & when I asked for a small extra plate to separate them she walked 3 feet sighed really loud & got upset like she was mad I was making her work!

Absolutely the best food and service we have had in Slidell. Kelly our waitress was exceptional!! The biscuts and gravy were so very good. My wife had a BBQ smashburger It’s not just any ordinary truck stop restaurant. Hidden gem!

I want to start this review with a serious shout out to Kelly! She was the only waiter working and was serving at least 8 tables by the time I left, and finished numerous while I was there. She never once left me without a drink and was attentive the moment I sat down. I went with the surf and turf which was hot and fresh! The chicken tenders were juicy and fresh. The white fish was cooked perfectly and the breading was fantastic. The Mac and cheese was perfect. Thank you for the sit down experience today Kelly and whomever did good work in the kitchen! Will definitely put this place on a list to stop in at while on the road!

Sharon and the lady in the kitchen are amazing. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was so good I didn’t even use A1. Everything was great. The service was outstanding. I can’t wait to see you ladies again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Food and service was great as usual, what I am concerned about was the school that was here at 630 causing us truckers issues, complaining about everything with 150 people and wanting to be out in 30 minutes. I hope Country Pride doesn’t do anything to the staff, they were great and I hope that band director or parent didn’t get any sort of compensation, they were rude and loud and horrible to the rest of the patrons. They left this restaurant a mess… This stop is on my weekly route and I’d hate to stop coming by. ( This was last Saturday)

I was ordering to take out and after I pay she gave me receipt and she said you can give me the tip right here and I didn’t and she asked no tip and I’m like no sorry and see look at me mad and she left like really the tip is necessary you didn’t even cook and how would I pay your tip before you even?
