This was my first experience eating Indian food and I went along with my 3 friends, and it was amazing. There was no wait to be seated and we were able to start eating immediately for lunch. We went to the lunch buffet and there were a lot of options- each prepared very well.
The bread pakora was so so good. It was fried and crunchy, with a potato filling.
The tandoori chicken was very tender and flavorful it fell right off the bone.
The cumin rice was great and a good pairing for all of the meals.
The dal tadka was wonderful, vegetarian , and it had some of the spiciest peppers – but it’s not spicy unless you eat the peppers.
The veg korma was also really flavorful and it has paneer which is a great Indian cheese .

The rice pudding was warm and it had coriander in it and wow! Exactly what I needed.

Aam ka panna was unique. It tasted like bitter melons , and the server told us it was made with unripe mango and black salt. Worth a try but was not my favorite .

Overall – excellent meal I was full after one plate but kept eating because it was just that amazing

Ellie’s Indian Curry Corner is absolutely incredible. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and clearly made with care. The chicken biryani was perfectly spiced, fragrant, and generously portioned. The veg pakora was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seriously addictive. The garlic naan was warm, fluffy, and loaded with garlic—perfect for scooping up every last bite. The mango lassi was smooth, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. And the jalebi churros were such a fun and delicious dessert — crispy, syrupy, and totally unforgettable. Hands down some of the best Indian food I’ve had. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu!

I went into Ellie’s Honestly, because it looked pretty on the outside lol And I ended up getting some takeout…. The food was absolutely fantastic. The service was great and super friendly and answered any questions I had. I drove 20 minutes home and the food was still hot when I got home. The ingredients were fresh, and the chicken was not even a smidge overcooked. I’m very picky with Indian food, but this did not disappoint. As I was leaving, it looked like they had some live music. I cannot wait to go back and spend a nice evening dining in. One of the gentlemen said that the dinning in experience is even better than takeout. I said I can’t wait to try it. Highly recommend if you like Indian food, you will like it here.

My first time having Indian food since living in the middle east. This is authentic Indian Cuisine better than some places from India I have tried. The staff is top notch working internationally from their customer service skills. Our order was Samosa chat, Chicken 65,Bhindi Masala, Chicken Dum Biriyani, Tandoori chicken, Garlic Naan, and for dessert the Jalebi Churros w/ coffee. This food tasted amazing like a holiday meal. I would highly recommend coming here if you want to try delicious authentic Indian food. We will definitely be coming back to try the lamb. This was a pleasant experience in Toms River.

I’m a light weight when it comes to spicy food (pepper included) so was a little intimidated when my husband brought me here. Ordered the Samosa Chaat which has a little kick, Chicken Dum Biryani (perfect for my palate), Chicken Korma (little spicy for me), and garlic naan. Meal was outstanding. The smell in the air when coming up the elevator continues as you taste the amazing flavors in each dish! Service is attentive and the atmosphere was peaceful. I can’t wait to go back to taste the entire menu!

We’ve been eating Indian food for a good 20 years. This place is by far the best we’ve had. The food is phenomenal and the staff is wonderful. The owner is such a kind man also. We were well taken care of. This is our new place for about 5 months now. Good new year ever dinner.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience here. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and came out at a perfect pace. I ordered my Shrimp Chettinad “American” spicy and found it gave a nice body heat but was not over the top by any means. Will try the “Indian” spicy next time 🙂 Will definitely be going back soon!

Ellie’s Indian Curry Corner in Downtown Toms River is fantastic. The food is full of bright flavor, portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh. The staff is warm and attentive, and the whole place feels welcoming from the moment you walk in. If you’re craving great Indian food, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.

Unapologetically authentic. Bold spice level in the curry, perfectly fluffy rice, and just-a-bit-charred naan. Elevator ride up is not ideal, but the decor itself is clean and precise. Very attentive waitstaff.

Another great addition to the emerging Asian corner of Tom’s River

The first bite of Mushroom Tikka was scrumptious! I love that they did not fill it with anything and kept it as authentic as possible. The mustard oil flavor in both Mushroom Tikka and Chicken Tikka were noticeable and you feel it from the first bite. Absolutely love how juicy the Chicken Tikka was! Another recommendation is the palak paneer, not the commercial or the restaurant kind. A MUST try! Deliciousness fresh paneer, the flavors of palak and Indian spices hitting you all at once. A taste of home, the kind that makes you close your eyes and remember your grandma! Will definitely visit again.
