We have never been here before. View of the golf course was great plus the games were on. Fried pickles were crisp and pipping hot! My husband enjoyed corn bites which are not up my alley regardless of where they are from. They had unique wings sauces that were surprisingly good. Wait staff was awesome. We will be back!

Small-town Iowa for Ragbrai and my hopes for a vegetarian meal are never high.
While this menu didn’t show it, I enquired and they did/do have an impossible burger option.

I had an opportunity for a date night with no kids, so that means a road trip! I love dive bars with food and small town golf courses that can put out good food. The course was packed with couples league, so we hit the restaurant at a good time. We(I) always seems to over order and take food home. Took a swoop around Lost Island Lake and stopped at Lakeland for a $1.75 ice cream for the ride home.
It is worth the trip to Palo Alto County!

As we are on the BPT trail, we had the breaded pork tenderloin, and it was top notch. What made the trip amazing was the friendliness of the staff, especially our waitress, Tammy. She was wonderful, and a reason we will return. Thanks Tammy for our great experience at Birdies, Burgers and Brews!
