I recently visited the Sushi Arashi restaurant and I was absolutely impressed with the quality of the sushi! From the moment I entered, I was greeted by a cordial and attentive team, which made me feel at home.
The menu offers an incredible variety of options, from classics to more daring creations that are worth trying. The freshness of the ingredients is remarkable; the fish was delicious and the rice was perfectly seasoned, with the ideal texture.
The presentation of the dishes is worthy of a true artist – each sushi looked like a masterpiece. The restaurant’s atmosphere is also cozy and authentic, allowing a truly immersive experience.
The prices are fair, considering the quality and exceptional service I received. Without a doubt, it is a place that I recommend for those who appreciate good Japanese food. I can’t wait to come back and try more than Sushi Arashi has to offer!
The only things that tasted well are the adameme and the agadeshi tofu. I won’t come back here.
However, the salad was by far the best part of the meal. It’s Sunday lunchtime, so perhaps they weren’t on their game, but the fish tasted funky (as a frequent sushi eater and lover of sushi).
For an example of the low-quality sushi, see the attached photo with weirdly butchered pieces of lemon rind sprinkled on it, mashed avocado, and odd shape…
When we asked if they had full-sodium soy sauce — I had to go inside to ask because the waiter was not nearby for a while — they told me they only had packets (the to go kind). Weird, but fine. Not 2 minutes later, another water brings out a container of full-sodium sauce while seating another table.
It wasn’t *terrible* but it’s probably in the bottom 10% of Bay Area sushi restaurants in my opinion.

Customer Service: 4.25/5
Left us alone but was helpful when we needed help. Classic Japanese restaurant service. Also held our spot on the waitlist when our full party wasn’t here

Food: 4.5/5
The sushi fish was really fresh ugh my mouth was getting umami overloaddd. Baked rolls were interesting concept def gives diff feel cuz it’s more cooked. Still p good! They gave us fried shrimp (not tempura but part of omakase) but literally ate nothing it was all shell…
Wow: 0/1

If you’re looking for an Instagram worthy dish that’s both delicious and worth paying for, get the Omakase Box! It’s $55, but worth it. Each chef’s choice was well selected and super fresh. This place also has a huge selection of special rolls if that’s more your style. The fish portions are big and they don’t use too much rice like some other places. There are also Udon and Teriyaki dishes to choose from for those who aren’t big on seafood.
• Omakase Box (highly recommend!)
• Hamachi Kama
• Hot Kiss (Baked Roll)
• Dragon Roll
Parking can be a little tough in the area depending what time you go, so plan ahead
Dog-friendly patio!
[Update] A week later, we bring thr whole family back. On a busy Friday evening this time. Same impressions!
I also like that they do combo deals. The Lincoln roll was really tasty too.
