My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last night. I would give 10 stars if the option was available. This restaurant is one of the best, if not the best, Mexican Restaurant in the Memphis and surrounding areas. The food is and is authentic tasting. My husband raved about the Birria Tacos and the Fajita Bowl was mouthwatering. The service was exceptional. Alfonso is awesome!!! He enjoys his job and very attentive with his patrons.

Absolutely delicious! Everything is seasoned perfectly—the salsa is flavorful, the queso is made in-house and tastes authentic, and the chicken tortilla soup is amazing. The chicken is tender and the soup is packed with it. We also tried the birria tacos—amazing! My boyfriend said it tastes like someone’s grandma was in the kitchen. We also love that it comes with consommé. We’ll definitely be eating here again! Oh and they have in house made, tortilla strips for the soup! I didn’t realize until after I put the tortilla chips in my soup!

My wife has been trying to get me here after she and a friend tried it. I finally tried it tonight. Hands down, it’s the best authentic Mexican place. Any of the leftovers she brought home before were an incredible blend of flavors. Today, I had the street tacos, one chicken and one chorizo. The meat was marinated and spiced just right and grilled to perfection. The salsa was just the right amount of spice and chunkiness. Even the rice and beans were fresh and delicious. It was a flavor explosion!

We took out of town guests here for our first time and were pleasantly surprised with great food. Everything was well seasoned and came out super hot. There were six of us, and all of our food was hot and delicious! We loved the Los portales dip and street tacos. The chunky guacamole was ok – not great, not bad. Our server was a young lady who was sweet and dud a good job! We were glad we tried this resteraunt!

My hard taco, rice, and refried beans were not tasty. Beans and rice are stiff and not good. The hard taco was overly crispy and good.
The Topshelf with salt was overly salty and made with house tequila. It was not good.

We had a *large* margarita each, chips with queso, and split chicken/steak fajitas. The queso was not what I expected. It was thicker in texture and didn’t have the best flavor. The margaritas were okay. The fajitas were also just okay. It was a bit bland. It wasn’t awful, but it was priced to be an upscale cutesy place. The vibes didn’t match.

Our first visit was ok. The people were friendly. The decor is cute. They are definitely overpriced. I ordered the expensive margarita with the tiny bottle of patron. The young man made it, tried handing it to me in a hurry, and informed me he didn’t have the tiny bottle holder. The drink started to overflow. My tiny bottle of patron went all over the bar. He then asked if it tasted ok. I commented “it tasted rather weak, but that could be because the liquor spilled on the bar, not in my drink” He then asked if I wanted to try a shot of the house tequila…. I thought as a gift for spilling mine all over the bar…. Nope! It was on the bill…. Besides the chips and salsa, the food was not that great. The Hawaiian burrito barely had pineapple in it. The burritos are huge, but bland. I think we’ll stick to our other favorite Mexican restaurants. Not impressed.

My daughter & I came here after a funeral to get a few drinks & food & had such an amazing time I forgot to take photos of my food lol! First & foremost our waiter Enrique was phenomenal. Very attentive. Very on point. Very Friendly & surprisingly very new! He is what customer service should look like these days! The salsa was amazing! I love the kick & spice it held! Their birria tacos were some of the best I’ve had in a while. And the consome was very flavorful! Really good & I’ve had some good consome over the years! Be careful with the drinks. We ordered the tropical margaritas thinking ah these lil drinks ain’t gonna hurt. However Enrique brought two tall glasses to our table that tasted like straight up juice! Very dangerous but oh so good lol! So don’t over do it! The drink may taste weak but those are the drinks that sneak up on you! Overall an amazing visit & we will be back soon!
