Food was great! The flavor super authentic mostly Colombian, didnt see many Puerto Rican plates, meal for 2 average $70 dollars so prices online might not be updated, average prices are 18.99 and up. Service was ok, the young lady didn’t look so friendly but did her job. We came in on a Sunday, the vibe was awesome with live music.

Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles:
In possibly the world’s first Colombian-Puerto Rican restaurant, a husband and wife team (She is Colombian, he is Puerto Rican) have staked their claim by waving the flags of both on California Avenue in South Gate.

If you ever made it to Gloria’s, a beloved South Gate restaurant that was just a couple blocks away, you will be happy to know that the chef here is Doña Gloria and her cooking lives on.

Unfortunately not what I expected. Place empty. Ok..sat down ready to order and cashier/slash server was busy on her phone. Finally ordered and no fruit shakes..ok soda it is..halfway done with my meal I asked for a “arepa con queso”.. they were out… Allright maybe it was late. Food was ok but not like other places. Finally ready to pay..Internet not working so had to send money through zelle. She could have stated that before. Lack of service. Maybe it just wasn’t my day to go there. $30 spent on one meal.

I love the owners! They are a beautiful strong family working together as a team, I been following them for years and they make sure everyone is happy and enjoying the delicious food they serve. Love this place the bandeja Paisa is delicious and also the natural juice. The arepas are unique and very traditional. Definitely recommend.

So disappointed! Just recently discovered this place and was pleasantly pleased the first time I went, so I returned a week ago. Ordered my breakfast and some Colombian bread to go with my coffee. Waitress apologized and said that the lady that makes their breads had not returned for a while now. Not good.

The little piece of carne asada that went with my eggs was ROTTEN. It didn’t look great but I tasted it anyway and I was right. I ordered fresh platanos maduros and they were the microwave kind. Yuck.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Hope they can pull it together. The calentado was flavorful. The eggs weren’t good as they added green n red bell peppers to a dish that ONLY requires tomato and green onion. Smh.

Making things up. #inventando
