Let me tell y’all something…this place is a hidden gem of deliciousness. You know the show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?” This would be featured on that show. There meat was perfectly tender and smokey. The BBQ sauce was on point for bold, spicey, and sweet. The customer was absolutely fantastic. If you are ever in Ashdown or in the mood for a road trip to get some yummy food go here.
*I got the ‘Merica Sandwich and it was enough for 3 people. 10 out of 5 stars!

Not my first time eating here and definitely not my last. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a spot to get a good meal. The service is A1 and prices are fair. #Ihearddddthat

Through Facebook I couldn’t wait to try this place! The food looked amazing on their site posts! It was months before getting the chance to go but we drove over 30 minutes. At first glance the outside doesn’t look like a popular place but trust and enter! We were the only customers so service was nice and convenient. The stuffed twinkies (poppers) where I’m from were delicious! Dirty fries were the best and the mac n brisket burrito was OK. Worth the drive!

Local restaurant, mostly fried food, very friendly service. Food was good. It was Halloween and homecoming. They were out of a lot of items. We’re just here for a week and there aren’t many local restaurants in this town.

Bought the sandwich because it had pulled pork, pork rib meat and what this place called brisket. We took the sandwich apart and ate the meats individually. The brisket was actually pretty good. As in comparable to Texas brisket with a smoke flavor to it and a salt and pepper seasoning. The pork was also tender and moist. We ordered a bacon wrapped jalapeno with brisket inside. Not bad. The macaroni and cheese had lots of cheese and tasted home made. Pretty good stop for bbq.

When we know we’re traveling through Ashdown, we try to make sure we time it to stop here. My favorite is either the Big Nasty Fries or Big Nasty Baked Potato with chopped beef. I always have more for later. The sausage has a breakfast sausage kind of flavor, but still good. The sides are okay. Nothing exciting but not bad. The staff is friendly. The dining room is always clean.

I was so looking forward to good BBQ in Ashdown. I don’t know what has happened this use to be a very good place. 1st off I know the prices for everything have gone up, but to charge 6 extra dollars a plate, because I ordered bisket is ridiculous. Then it was full of fat yes it should have some but not 1/3 of your order is fat. I would go to Texarkana next time alot further but better quality.

It’s been a while since I had a club sandwich. But Big Gilley’s sandwich is worth it.
