We came to the OMNI Hotel to celebrate New Year’s, and on January 1st we stopped by this restaurant for dinner. And what can I say? Everything was wonderful.
The view from the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the staff working here are simply amazing: warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant.
But the food deserves special mention.
Please forgive me, I once again failed to take a photo of the full dish, because I started eating immediately ))
The goat cheese and strawberry salad was incredibly fresh, as if everything had just been picked straight from the garden. Crisp, light, and absolutely delicious.
The lobster tail was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life, perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor.
And of course, the key lime pie.
You won’t see it in the photos, because my husband and I shared it and finished it very quickly. In fact, we ordered another one to go for our son. I’m pretty sure he’ll say it’s the best key lime pie he’s ever had.
If you’re staying here, don’t miss this restaurant.
And when it comes to dessert, don’t even hesitate. Order the key lime pie. Or better yet, order two! Haha :))

Talking Straight with Nate
I went to this on my first night at the Omni hotel. Our server Martina What is very helpful and what is also a bartender at the Oceanside so she was able to recommend cocktails as well as anything on the menu. It was great. We even go to see the Fourth of July fireworks there that night. Pricey but overall it was great.

It’s a very nice yet small restaurant and was surprised to have been seated immediately. I noticed next to my seat was a wrapper of some sort on the floor, and I was quite surprised when she took the extra utensils (and one too many) and cups away that it did not get picked up.
I questioned some of the things that were on the filet and the server didn’t seem quite sure, but I chose it anyway. I’m sure that even though this is a very nice resort, they still have issues hiring because they didn’t exactly have the gracefulness putting plates down, and my knife went into all of the sauces and he just walked away.
I ordered the petite filet and was beyond delighted that not only was the steak perfectly cooked the way I like it, but every single thing on the plate was absolutely delicious! I do not have as big of an appetite as my eyes do, and always unable to finish a meal, I ate all but three bites of the steak as well as several pieces of the cauliflower because it was just that delicious it was worth being uncomfortable! It wasn’t even just the taste and perfectly cooked food, but the steak was a phenomenal cut. There were no chewy pieces in the middle, and only a slight amount of fat that was easily cut away from the top. My husband happily finished what I couldn’t.
My husband had the Atlantic Salmon and ate every piece of food on that plate because he said it was that good.
We were the last people there and no one made us feel rushed and reminded us to take our time, even though my husband was taking his good old time with his drink made me want to hurry so they could all go home. Yum!

– staff were able to accommodate my gluten allergy so I could have the roast chicken dish
– tables were nicely spaced apart
– staff were very attentive, kind and helpful
– all reservations are seated indoors
– restaurant had a more casual vibe but the quality of food surpassed our expectations

I recently dined at Oceanside Restaurant in Omni Resort, Amelia Island, and it was a truly relaxing experience, mainly due to its perfect location right in front of the sea. The sound of the waves and the ocean breeze really added to the charm, and it’s hard to beat such a beautiful setting for a meal.As for the food, I ordered the grain salad, which was a mix of grains and vegetables. While it was fresh and healthy, the flavors didn’t quite meet my expectations. It lacked the depth and seasoning that would have made it more memorable. The shrimp, on the other hand, was well-cooked and flavorful, a definite highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the calamari didn’t live up to the same standard—it was a bit bland and lacked the crispness I was hoping for.Despite the mixed experience with the food, the overall ambiance of the restaurant made it a pleasant visit. The service was attentive, and the setting was perfect for a relaxing evening. I am always hesitant to try hotel restaurants but after coming here I was so impressed. The food was exceptional and presentation is lovely. I had arrived back to Omni late, so I had dinner an hour before closing time. The baked oysters were the most delicious I’ve ever had from any place. The shrimp and grits so hearty. My stomach was so happy. I highly recommend you have at least one meal here during your stay at Omni Resort.

Oceanside offers amazing ocean view, food, and service pool side. Staying at Omni Hotel and enjoyed the pools. Ordered pool side and everything we had was delicious. We had the Ocean Bowl, Seagull wings (chicken) , Fried Long Fin Calamari, Caesar salad and Fresh Catch Fish Tacos. The ocean bowl and Caesar was so fresh and tasted amazing, the fish tacos were bursting with flavors and the wings and calamari were so so good.
The service was great and the staff members are friendly, they come poolside to take orders. Great food and drink options by the pool. Highly recommend!

The baked and raw oysters are amazing. Very clean. I can’t stand a gritty oyster. No complaints here. The service was great and the food came quickly. Love the Party Wave is a great ale from Intuition Ale Works that’s made locally in Jacksonville.

The clam chowder was delicious. The calamari was average. My husband got the fried shrimp. It tasted old. Some of them weren’t devained. The oysters on the half shell weren’t fresh. They should never smell. I told the waiter l. They then brought me more old oysters. For the price I would expect better quality. I would go back for the chowder. That’s about it.
