I am always very skeptical about trying new places, especially Mexican restaurants. I am very pleased with everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere feels very pleasant. The area we sat in was very quite and comfortable. We had a table of 6 in a both like area and the space was very spacious. Our waitress was very pleasant and new everything on the menu. Tonight we started with the chips and salsa, guacamole, and quiso compuesto. Everything tasted amazing, the chips were freshly made and the fresh blue corn tortillas were homemade. For dinner we had the Mahi Fish Tacos and the Tres Enchiladas with Rice and beans (rice and beans are “family sharable” sides on one dish). My favorite was the chicken sour cream enchilada. For dessert we tried the flan and the churros. Flan was a sweet perfection and the crispy sugary churros paired nicely with the chocolate and creamed leche. I will absolutely be back to try other items on the menu. I am pleasantly impressed.

Very welcoming staff. The queso and totopos are a must have for the table. Never had a bad meal here. Mar y Tierra was good for a first meal, but not my favorite for additional visits. My girlfriend liked the Enchiladas and has gotten the plate several visits after. Another visit, I had Carne Asada tacos with blue corn & it’s packed with flavor. I’ve also had the Pulled Chicken Flautas, but ate them too fast & missed a photo. Highly recommend the flautas AND the almond salsa. Heck, add almond salsa to any meal. Cinco Leches Cake was ehh and made me want CPT’s tres leches cake instead.

My new favorite place to eat in West Texas. The food and service were off the charts outstanding. Lived every second. The food, including a tuna fish salad plate that I would have never ever ordered on my own without a strong suggestion from my server Brenda.
I had told Brenda to at this was my first time and asked for her suggestion for a dish that would absolutely make me want to back.
When she said this tunafish salad plate I almost declined, but decided I had to go with it since she did what I asked and was confident.
It was unbelievably good!
The deserts, flan and cinco leches, were outstanding as well.
Can’t wait to go back.
Brenda was the best server I have had … maybe ever, anywhere. She was kind, sharp, articulate, efficient and a doll.
The manager, Karina, also made contact to make sure everything was good.
This is not your typical burritos and taco Mexican food. Not cheap but for what we received worth every penny.
I implore you to give it a try on a date night.
I will be back soon!

Alright, buckle up, folks, because I’m about to review a place that not only won my heart but also achieved the near-impossible: impressing my dad. Yes, you heard that right. This man critiques everything from the angle of the TV to the firmness of the table. But Maria’s Mexican Kitchen? Impeccable
First off, shout out to Noah, our server, who was as friendly as they come. And to Avery and Trey, the managers, for keeping a watchful and caring eye on everything. Now, let’s talk about the Mar Y Tierra. The poblano was great, but the spicy almond on top? Mind-blowing. Seriously, I’d buy a jar of that stuff. My only tiny disappointment was that they were out of skirt steak for the Parrillada (day after Valentine’s Day .. it makes sense), which I’m definitely ordering next time.
Okay, so the bill took its sweet time to arrive, but honestly? I’m too blissed out by the overall experience to care. This place is a gem, and I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for a spot that’s got amazing food and can impress even the toughest critic (my dad), look no further. Five stars!

We came here on way to Big Bend national park on Xmas eve and it was so delish we stopped for lunch on way back home on NY day! The staff couldn’t be more gracious despite the holidays on both our visits! We’ve had the tamales, pork, chicken soup and crispy chicken salad. You can’t go wrong on this menu! The mole is SUPER and rich if you like that sauce! It’s a bit out of the way-absolutely worth it!

My husband and I just celebrated our 7th anniversary here and this place was amazing! The service was great! Our waitress, Lindsay, was so kind and polite. The inside and ambiance are pretty, I really like the candles, they add a really nice feel. The food here was great! I got the Seafood Enchiladas and they were very tasty! The one in the white creamy sauce was my favorite as it complimented the crab really nice! My husband had ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and he really enjoyed them. My son had gotten the kids Cheese Enchiladas and seemed to enjoy them as well. The rice and beans looked great but were on the plain side of flavor, not bad, though. Drinks were great! I got the Sandia Picosa and really liked the subtly sweet and smoky flavor it had. Lastly, for dessert, we got the Flan, and it was soooo good! Loved how creamy it was but you can still taste the egg in it! Overall, a very good experience! It is on the pricey side, though. (Also, they have hooks under the tables for whatever bag you may have, I actually really appreciate that! Not sure if they have them underneath the booth tables, though.)

We ate there for the first time today. Our waiter, Noah, did an amazing job. He was attentive and took very good care of us. The atmosphere was great, screening offering some privacy, cloth napkins, a very pretty restaurant. The food was off the chart amazing! Not the typical Mexican food that you find in West Texas. So good! We will definitely be back and take our friends too! Very memorable dining experience.

The food and drinks were fantastic. I got the seafood enchiladas and also tried some of the mole. We were just a party of four but multiple times we didn’t have drinks refilled, asked 4 different people for more chips which we didn’t get until we almost finished our entrees. The all you can eat beans and rice is a good idea as long as someone is there to tend to you. 2 people didn’t even get any until entrees were almost finished. Might try again after a while in hopes the service gets better

Awesome date night Location definitely would recommend the ribeye medium rare. Socorro was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing as far as her knowledge of the menu.
