Its a small sit down indian restaurant inside of a grocery store (some of the best places to eat). It has an east coast vibe and its in Kansas City. I ordered the egg fried rice, its very flavorful and spicy. Its extremely good IMO. I highly recommend this place at all times of the day or week. Eat here before going to Westport or power and light district.

Loved the Tiffin combo! The dosa was perfectly crisp with soft idli and the vada had just the right crunch. All the sides chutneys and sambar were fresh as well. Definitely something I’d order again!

Tried their Mandi and Haleem and honestly, both were amazing. Haleem had one of the best meat ratios I’ve had in Kansas which is perfectly balanced and delicious. The Mandi was well-seasoned, and the leg quarter was cooked just right. If you’re in the area, this place definitely a must visit!

The food is fantastic. So many choices and we love it all. I may benefit to Westport area just to come here. I got the saag paneer and it was so good, just perfect spiciness. It was enough for 2 meals for me. My friend got the tandoori chicken and thought it was wonderful.

I had a very disappointing experience at Desi Dhaba in Kansas. I clearly ordered a pure vegetarian veg biryani, but to my shock, I found chicken pieces in it. As someone who strictly follows a vegetarian diet, this is completely unacceptable.
This is not a small mistake — it shows a serious lack of care in food preparation and order handling. Mixing vegetarian and non-vegetarian food can hurt customers’ beliefs, trust, and dietary preferences.
I hope the management takes this seriously and improves their kitchen practices to prevent such incidents in the future. Extremely disappointed.

Best dosas in Kansas city!! We got the paneer dosa and masala dosa – they were perfectly cooked, perfectly spiced, and the three dipping sauces were fantastic (the peanut sauce in particular). Fantastic masala tea to drink while you wait. And it’s nice to have the grocery store there so it’s easy to grab water or soda while you wait. I can’t wait to go back!!

The food was served cold, the ambience feels like a jail, no restrooms . Would definitely not recommend. The raita was smelling bad, i guess it went bad and the mandi was probably made few days ago

The chicken (South Indian style) with poori was spicy with the right amount of spices. Recommend this dish.
In vegetarian section, we ordered vada sambhar which was good. The masala dosa was crispy but heavy for eating. The potato vegetable was ok, but not so special. The samosas were very tasty.

Extremely disappointed. It was clear the food was just being microwaved rather than freshly prepared. For the price, I expected a real meal, but what I got was inedible. I ended up throwing most of it away. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cooks.
Edit : Went today to see if the quality had changed turn out there was a Food Inspection that occured a few days ago and they had found rat, and rat waste along with several other health code issues, this wasn’t the first time to happen either.
