This is our second time eating here and the food was as delicious as it was on our first visit.
For drinks, we had the cool cucumber, strawberry dragon, and the tropical passion. The lemon in the cool cucumber caused the drink to be a bit bitter while the other drinks were delicious and not too sweet. The cool cucumber could use a little simple syrup.
For appetizers, we got the wings, oxtail dumplings, and brussel sprouts. All of them were delicious and piping hot. How they got the brussel sprouts to be soft but crispy is amazing. All of the flavors stood out with each. The oxtail was very tender and the dumpling itself was not gummy.
The main dishes were the mushroom stir fry, braised beef short ribs, and plain burger with fries. You can’t go wrong with the burger and fries. The braised beef was cooked to perfection and cut with a fork. Each bite melted in your mouth like butter. The stir fry had whole roasted garlic and that went magically well with the spinach, rice, and mushrooms. The sauce was the perfect addition and wasn’t too salty.
All of the food was delicious and confirmed the first time was not a fluke. The atmosphere could use updating as the curtains on the walls of the dining area are old and discolored. Also white fabric chairs are not a good idea as it easily shows stains.
We will definitely be back and next time will try earlier in the day to try the brunch.

The food was good( however, there was a bone in the oxtail dumping that I wasn’t expecting, and almost broke a tooth)
It was FREEZING COLD in there, which cooled the food quickly, made us try to eat faster because it was uncomfortably cold. The mocktails were good, but too much ice

Loved everything about this place. My husband and I came here for date night and enjoyed each dish. Everything was delicious and made to perfection. Kim, our server was great. She was very attentive and helpful. Definitely going back to try brunch.

We ordered the crispy soy glazed wings for an appetizer. I had the tuscan grilled salmon and he had the braised short rib for dinner. We ordered extra spinach and we got the warm butter cake for dessert.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem in Lansdowne – A Must-Visit!

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this fabulous Black-owned restaurant in Lansdowne, PA, and let me tell you — it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

From the moment we walked in, the warmth and hospitality were unmatched. The owner, Sophia, came out to greet us personally, which made us feel so welcomed and valued. Our server, kailey and Crystal, was an absolute sweetheart — attentive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She gave us amazing recommendations, and every dish she suggested was a hit.

We initially came in for brunch, and everything was chef’s kiss! We had the French toast, scrambled eggs, and some of the tastiest mocktails I’ve ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. But the food was so good, we couldn’t help ourselves — we came back for dinner the same day!

For dinner, my mother ordered the red snapper, my sister had the lamb chops, and I got the sea bass. Every single bite was packed with flavor, seasoned to perfection, and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It honestly tasted like somebody’s grandma or mama was back there cooking with love and soul.

I left completely satisfied, speechless, and already planning my next visit. The food was 10 out of 10, the service was exceptional, and the entire experience felt like home. If you’re anywhere near Lansdowne, do yourself a favor and go — this place is a culinary gem you’ll never forget.

The food was amazing! I had the lobster and waffle the lobster was huge and seasoned to perfection. I also tried the oxtail dumplings, which were full of flavor, and the sweet chili crispy calamari, which was tender and crispy. Every bite was bursting with flavor but not overly salty. I am beyond impressed and will definitely return! Oh, I almost forgot about the strawberry dragon mocktail it’s incredibly deeeeeeeeelicious! They should bottle that up in a gallon size; I would definitely buy it.

My partner took me here for a dinner date. Upon arrival everyone was nice. What I did notice was that someone was having a party in the back, maybe for a graduation or something however it was extremely loud which took away from the atmosphere. I ordered the surf & turf ( fried lobster tail & NY Strip) my partner ordered the fried lobster tails. For the sides we had the garlic mash & sautéed spinach.

I ordered my steak medium well, it came out well done which was really frustrating. I sent it back and it took about 20 mins for it to be remade and it came out even more well done than the first time. When I told the waiter I didn’t want it he told me they ran out of steak so they couldn’t make me another. Which was not a problem because I didn’t not want them to try again it was obvious they didn’t know how to make a medium well steak.

The lobster tails were flavor lacking. The mash was cold and had no flavor. The spinach lacked flavor as well.

The best thing on the menu was the mocktail I end up getting the purple fusion. Very delicious!

I’m a terminally ill person who’s been trying to get to this restaurant for some time. I’m dining there tonight!! I’ll be back with a review. I’m excited! Well I made it. Everything was phenomenal. I must talk about the bread pudding. It might be better than mine! I’m telling everyone to get here. Congrats to the owner/chef. This is something to be proud of.

This was our first time visiting for dinner, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The dining room is beautifully decorated—perfectly lit for an evening meal with warm, cozy candlelit tables. The seating is spaced comfortably apart, allowing for private conversation, especially on a night that isn’t overly crowded. It’s an ideal spot for date night. The restaurant is BYOB, and I noticed they also offer mocktails on the menu.

We began with soup. The lobster bisque was savory and flavorful, featuring a plump piece of lobster in the center. The New England clam chowder was also thoroughly enjoyed. There’s a wide selection of entrées, and we appreciated the recommendations on the most popular dishes. In addition to steak, poultry, and seafood, the menu also includes a section dedicated to vegan entrées.

I ordered the lump crab cake as my entrée, and we also had the fried red snapper. Although the crab cake was lump rather than jumbo lump, it was well seasoned and not overloaded with filler. It was generously sized, filling, and served with a citrus remoulade that complemented it nicely. The whole red snapper was a generous market-priced portion, perfectly coated and fried. The fish was moist, flavorful, and cooked just right—not overdone. Each entrée is thoughtfully garnished; the red snapper was served with fried plantain and mango salsa, which paired beautifully.

Sides are served à la carte. We chose the lobster mac and cheese and sautéed spinach. We also ordered the calamari a bit later but enjoyed it before our entrées arrived. It was crispy and drizzled with a sauce that balanced sweetness with a subtle kick of heat. The lobster mac and cheese featured pasta (think it was cavatappi) in a rich, creamy cheese like gouda, topped with a generous piece of lobster. The sautéed spinach was lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly, complementing the meal well. Overall, the dishes were well balanced and full of flavor.

We didn’t have room for dessert this time, but on our next visit I’d love to try either the butter cake or the bread pudding.

Omggg where to start !?!?

Valentine’s Day 2025

Arriving at Sophusion immediately first thing was parking was a breeze! (There’s a parking lot next door) Now, upon entry into Sophusion we were met with classy, romantic, soul vibe and jazz music was wafting through the air timeless songs played GREAT atmosphere !! The hostess was very pleasant and kind and knowledgeable a true professional and sweetheart!!

The restaurant is set up with two dining rooms and we sat in the second one . There is an open kitchen but you don’t notice it and it doesn’t t take away from the dining experience.

Our server this night was CRISTAL and man oh man she was the absolute best! She was on point with EVERYTHING! This was our first time here so naturally there was a lot of questions and she had zero problem answering them ! This whole experience was AMAZING ! and she made it that much better ! So when yall go ask for her and say Candice sent yall !!!

Now yall the absolute best part …,,, the food!!’

I had the 5 course meal and my man had the fried red snapper! I had the red chili calamari it got the sauce on the side but either way you eat it it’s gonna be amazing! Next was the Cesar salad …. Fresh ass ohhh mah gawwdd ! Then I had the 20oz ribeye cooked medium and that was some of the most tenderest steak I have ever had ! I had a side of Brussel sprouts and that was a great life choice bc that balsamic glazeeee I think it’s made from scratch bc I was floored that flavor was top notch . Now we also ordered the mash potatoes but they ram out but no biggie Cristal told us the crab fried rice is a must so we got that instead….. BEST FRIED CRAB RICE I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE !!!!!! I didn’t even swallow my first bite before I snatched another spoon foul and fed my man and he had the same reaction I did !!! That rice came from the ancestors there’s no recipe you can follow to make that on your own that’s somebody’s great great great great grandmama recipe that she never wrote down and is passed down from generation to generation by one person and that one person is in that kitchen cooking that. Lawd have mercy !! Now for my finally dish I had the vanilla beignets let’s just say they made it in a doggie bag but they did not make it home . They were so fluffy like pillows on the inside but still had a nice crisp on the outside.

This by far was my best and favorite dining experience! I cannot wait to come back which will be soon !

Miss. Kimberly was nice from start to finish, thank you . Some of the other staff was not so friendly. How the inside of the restaurant is, they should not claim upscale dining. It’s nice inside but there’s scratches on the floor and dining furniture and a few other things that’s an eye sore. When I went to order my food the waiter said it was 47 for the lamb chop dinner and it DOESN’T come with any sides???????? I got two sides for my meal like a normal person would, Each of my side were 15 dollars each. Yall do the math. The food was very, very good. But this place is to high and not worth coming to for the price. I spent 80 dollars alone on food and that’s not including a drink. They also force a 20% tip on the bill, SMH. The food is great, but this place is not upscale dining and there are other places in the area and in the city to spend your money on that’s way better!
