1. I read all of the reviews (good and bad) before coming here during my stay at South Lake Tahoe. Decided to try it out…
2. We really enjoyed the food and drinks. The thick cut Fries were delicious, as well as the sweet potato fries. We also had the egg rolls and while they aren’t handmade, they are a good starter.
3. The fried chicken sandwich was a good choice and I like how it’s smothered in a gravy type sauce. The chicken could be a bit more tender. The fish tacos were better.
4. Fish was fresh and tasty!
5. Our service was awesome and we would definitely come back. #thanksamanda
6. It’s a hangout spot. Don’t come here in a hurry or with an entitlement. You’d be coming to the wrong place.

This place was seriously outstanding! My favorite place we have eaten in Tahoe, if not anywhere. Loved the atmosphere. Amazing food and good portions. We got the chili fries which had such impressive flavor and was filling. The salad and artichoke chicken sandwich was also super good. My husband liked his burger. Highly recommend! Seems like it’d be a great pub at night but we were not here for this.

Really cool stop that has easy parking and great food. It doesn’t look like much from the road but it has a nice atmosphere inside and in the back they have patio dining with a water fall and some games that can be played while waiting for drinks or dinner. The server was over worked but never acted like she was stressed was very personable and never made us wait. The only slightly negative thing was my burger was a little overcooked… Which is very minor and I never specified how I wanted it cooked anyways.

Went here Friday afternoon. Staffing was a little short so it took a bit to order & get our check. We got the artichoke pinsas & it was delicious! Definitely recommend but I’m sure all their pizza & pinsas are really good. Menu prices were prices were decent. Check it out. It looked like a cute little tavern.

We had the pizza, and we love the crunch when we bit into it, and it’s thin crust too! The toppings were delicious. Our dog loved the outdoor setting, and service was awesome. We appreciate getting water and ice refill for our water pack in the hot weather too.

Wonderfully meatball sub. Meatball was home made like grandma’s. Great sauce its red and flavorful scared me at first when it said gravy. But it’s a delightful red sauce. Fries are to die for crispy on the outside and tender inside. We sat outside nice area. Will now be my go to spot on tahoe

Came here on a Saturday night on a busy weekend during Covid which meant getting a table at a restaurant inside one of the casinos basically impossible. We made a reservation the night before for a table for 4. We throughly enjoyed the vibe, the drinks, the food, and the warmth of this tavern. Totally worth the short drive! If we lived here, it would probably be our hangout spot! Our group ordered burgers, chili, BLT sandwich and Moscow mules, bloody Mary’s, and rum runners. No complaints at all! Service was great. It is a bar restaurant so you’re gonna have the bar atmosphere which we personally love.

Always have great eats and apres ski scene here. Chill people relaxing after a day of skiing actually mingle. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. What am I saying? They’re *cool*. They talk, chop it up. Keep it friendly but professional. The patrons, also, talk. Been coming for years ownership changes a few times but this iteration (Blue Lake Tavern, formerly Wally’s Huddle – and something else before), is my favorite.

The people (customers) are family fruendly people, makes the place feel like home, the food i irdered was a tavern burger and i must say the burger had its own unique taste and thats what made the blue lake tavern a very special acceptable place. The frys were nice and delicious and my sister even stole a couple from me . My reason for a 4 star is only because of the service, it wasnt too busy but could have been sense they had a bar open as well, but the attendance was acceptable, no sign if disrepect, nor a sign if bad mood.
