We used to go to Mullens years ago when the only location was in Watertown. This time, we stumbled across another Mullens, right next door to the restaurant where we had lunch. There’s no indoor dining here, but you can take your order to-go and enjoy it at one of the tables overlooking Lake Fowler (though I do wonder what happens in winter or bad weather!).
There were two of us, and we each ordered a special Hot Fudge Sundae — one Swiss and the other Turtle. We were served by a friendly young woman who was helpful and efficient. Our sundaes arrived quickly and were just as delicious (maybe even more so) than what we remembered. The hot fudge was luxurious, the caramel rich, the pecans nicely roasted and salted, and the ice cream creamy and smooth — just the perfect combination. To top it all off, there was whipped cream and a cherry. Can’t beat that!
So glad we stopped in — it was a great reminder of how good a small, local ice cream shop can be.

Great place for ice cream, sundaes, and shakes. They have a variety of flavours, and quick service. There’s no seating, but the boardwalk across the street has plenty of seating by the lake. Would highly recommend this place.

Heard about this place opening recently. It is not easy to find! If you park near the Chase bank then walk behind the buildings on the Main Street going toward the lake, it’s there! So many tempting flavor choices! They offer tasting spoons though so that helps narrow things down. The espresso Oreo flavor is spectacular! I also tried the cherry chip and my partner had the yellow brick road which were both also good. There are nice tables and chairs nearby with lovely lake views. It’s a great place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall really great experience.

Line moves faster than expected. The price is legit. A lot better than most places. One scoop is compared to two-three scoops elsewhere and is only $5.50
Quality is delicious- fresh creamy and delightful. Highly recommend.
They do not have pup cones or treats.

Mullens is a must try for anyone visiting Oconomowoc in the summer. Prices are pretty average for ice cream, $5ish per person. The location in downtown right by the lake could not be any better. I highly recommend trying it out!

I love this local ice cream place. The line can get long, but it usually moves fast. They have flavors posted, but check out their online menu for specialty sundaes. We usually sit on the boardwalk and then play on the playground afterwards. It makes for a great evening!

Having a bad day? Stop what you’re doing. Drive to Mullens. Get two scoops of their peanut butter cookie ice cream. Problem Solved.
Having a good day? Stop what you’re doing. Drive to Mullens. Get two scoops of their peanut butter cookie ice cream. Day gets even better.
This is the best place to get your ice cream fix in Oconomowoc. They have a walk up window that’s looks out over the lake. It’s a wonderful place to take the family and relax with your favorite treat!

An ideal place to get ice cream in the summer. Love the walk up window. Some creative flavors, but I like to stick to the classics (butter pecan). Would give more stars but every time I’ve been there, the ice cream has ice chips in it. However, can’t beat the location.
