Good service, the server was hustling which I really appreciated, food was excellent, the fact they include bread and soup or salad with the entree makes it very reasonable pricing. Food itself was delicious- just as good as what we had in Italy. I had the chicken piccata which hit the spot, loved the sauce and capers and super tender chicken. The pasta Alfredo was so tasty it moved my pregnant wife to tears so you KNOW it’s good!! Definitely worth a visit

How did I not know about this place?? It’s old school Pittsburgh Italian at its finest!! Unassuming atmosphere that grows on you once you settle in. Fantastic menu matched by the outstanding quality & amazing taste of the food!! We did the stuffed peppers along with beans & greens to start. Everyone loved what they ordered. Freshly made linguine with flavorful sauces; just like your Italian momma made! Zero fee BYOB was great. But the pièce de résistance was the lemon cake!! Divine. Efficient service & a visit from the owner made the night quite remarkable & worth the trek to the rocks!

Our son and his now-wife had their rehearsal dinner at 1995 Eatery a couple of weekends ago. We are from near Boston Massachusetts so we can easily get excellent Italian cuisine, yet the food at 1905 compared very favorably. We especially loved the marinara sauce… and we are picky about sauce! We also had several in our party who eat gluten free, which was not problem at all as there was GF pasta and stuffed peppers among other offerings. The service was fantastic… they worked extremely well and cheerfully under the pressure of a large crowd of 50-something people. It was a truly memorable evening, thank you 1905 Eatery!

Had an amazing time here. We had reservations right at 4:00 when they opened because we had a 7:00 show. The owner greeted us as soon as we got there. Server was attentive and service was timely.
AUTHENTIC Italian food!!!! Food was DELICIOUS. We ordered mussels as an appetizer. I ordered the clam sauce pasta as my main course and the wedding soup as a side. They do not skimp out on anything! My significant other had the chicken Romano with a salad as the side. Chicken was juicy and flavorful.
We sat by the window. It was intimate and enjoyable. Please consider eating out here with your family or special someone! They’re also doing a seven fishes for Christmas Eve. I definitely recommend! Will be back.

AmaIng experience. The service was great. The chef was amazing too, he came out a few times and spoke with guests. I highly recommend the chicken parm and Italian wedding soup. The soup blew me away.

Yes! After years of trying, I finally found my husband a great Italian restaurant. The food is delicious, authentic, and high-quality. I really enjoyed meeting Miss Debbie, Miss Jessica, and Mr Carmene, and my husband said he felt like he was back in Italy, at home, and surrounded by family. His years in the Navy taught him to appreciate the best of the best, especially while he was deployed in Sicily. And best of all, we made two new friends, Miss Charlotte and Mr Lino, while we ate dinner.
Update: we finally got the chance to come back, and it was even better! We loved our Veal Tara and Penne con Sausage, and the canoli cake and Limoncello cake were amazing too. Julian’s customer service skills are phenomenal — we felt very welcome and valued. Dave and Carmine took extra care to make sure our dinners were seasoned to perfection. Another 5-star experience, since 6 was not an option.

Ordered takeout, but cant wait to dine in. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing and the staff was so friendly. Was incredibly blown away by this place!

Excellent Italian Meal! You can tell its authentic by the chef and staff. Great experience overall. Pasta was delicious and meatballs were to die for.
