This was my second time going and I think it’s one of the best Japanese restaurants in the dmv!! The first time I went I had maki which I remember liking but this time we got don (rice dishes) with sashimi. The seafood was extremely fresh. I got the salmon and yellowtail don which was delicious, and I really liked how the rice had toppings which made it enjoyable to eat. It was also how great how to start received miso soup and a salad. The crispy rice spicy tuna was also delish, would highly recommend as an appetizer! The standout for me was the tuna belly sashimi we got, and each piece was so fatty and literally melted in my mouth.
The service was excellent and everyone was so attentive and friendly! I think it’s smart how every table has a bell to ring when service is needed; it’s very efficient. The place is also very clean and a nice vibe.
If you are craving Japanese, please come dine here, you wont regret it!!

This is the first dinning experience at Sushi Jip. The fresh sushi has to be THE BEST I’ve had considering the taste, size and presentation. All of the servers were attentive and we had the pleasure of meet in the owner Julia. You are missing out if you have never dined here. If you love quality sushi, this is the place for you. Otherwise, settle for substandard sushi. I’m definitely coming back as I’m so impressed with the quality and unique flavor such as spicy salmon with pineapple. The chef knows what he is doing. Please put this on your list of sushi restaurants in the DMV – your next visit should be here. Not only is the food and service EXCELLENT, you’ll be supporting a family owned business. Their house is your house – WELCOME to the best sushi house in Arlington, VA!

I am emotionally attached to Sushi Jip. This isthe best sushi I’ve ever had and the best sushi in dmv area for sure, the fish is fresh and with good quality and the rice is on point. It’s the special place for my dates with my boyfriend, we have a lot of good memories in there! The staff is amazing and gentle.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time last week with a friend and immediately we were FLOORED by the quality of the sushi and service. We ate and chatted until closing, and we did not feel rushed at all. They even came over and let us try a couple pieces of a new sushi roll they were experimenting with, and asked for our feedback. They truly treat their customers well, and I could recognize this even with their interactions with surrounding patrons. We can’t wait to be back.

I am often in search of a new sushi restaurant, and this is by far head and heels over all the rest. I had been to this location under another name and was unimpressed, but now I find the restaurant relaxing, pristine, welcoming and fresh.
The music is consistently soothing, and this is especially important to my musician husband’ sensitivity. Th decor is simple and easy on the eyes.
Services what it should be: timely, pleasant, and anticipatory of diners’ needs.
The sushi! We’ve had those rolls pictured below: the first, shared, and it was enough for us to take nearly half home for the following day; the other two, on our first visit: ample, delicious, fresh, and fairly priced.
We won’t be looking for another sushi restaurant for the foreseeable future!

Got carry out for the first time from this place on Tuesday and went back for more on Sunday. Easily the best sushi I’ve had in northern Virginia. Their carry out packaging and presentation are amazing. I can’t even imagine how great it is when you’re eating in the restaurant.

Sushi Jip has the best service , greatest prices , and best Sushi in Arlington ! The staff is always so kind and attentive . The to go and dine in are both fantastic . Highly recommended this as your new sushi spot !
