One of our all time favorite restaurants. We live in CT and have a place on Averill Lake. We try to go to the Grille as often as possible! The chef and his team never disappoint! I had the 6 ounce filet wrapped in bacon and my husband had duck with a black berry sauce. Absolutely tremendous!! Can’t say enough good things about the restaurant. Kudos to the whole team…keep doing exactly what you are doung!!

We have our annual dinner here each year during our Pittsburg hunting trip.
In years past everything has been 5 stars.
This year was a bit different. The food was still great and service was fine.
Our problem was with the drinks. Just awful manhattans where it was clear the person had never made them before. Muddle fake cherries in an old fashion??? Weak and terrible espresso martinis which looked like milk. To top it off we always purchase two bottles of caymus for dinner… they were out of course.
I really hope they clean up the bar service or they will lose long time customers.

Unfortunately for our party the steaks were just not good. The chef cooked and seasoned they to perfection, but they were tough. The mushrooms on top where burned black smudges. The red skin potatoes had to be cut with a steak knife. The French onion soup had way too much cream and made it just taste milky. See steak photo

So happy we made reservations 6 months in advance. Excellent service, beautiful surroundings and one of the best steaks I’ve ever enjoyed. Try the smoke trout appetizer and lobster pie!!

Good hearty food and excellent service. The food has quality ingredients and ample portions. Prices are higher for norther New Hampshire but the quality of the mean more than makes up for it. This is a must visit for a nice evening out and a great meal with family or friends.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here for my 25th birthday last night. It was a wonderful experience. Last time we were up here for our honeymoon but it was during mud season and everything was closed. We were happy to be able to have dinner here this time around. Our server, Melanie, was cheerful, helpful, and very sweet. The food was delicious and came out perfectly, as far as timing. There was enough time to enjoy each component (appetizer, soup/salad, entree, etc.) before the next item came out. I would highly suggest this restaurant! It’s homey, the tables are close enough that we enjoyed conversation with a few couples who were also vacationing, but separated enough to have private conversation, too. It was an overall beautiful dining experience and we will be back every time we make the trip up here! Thank you Rainbow Grille!

The lobster bisque was out of this world. The baked haddock and millcove pie were fabulous. Melanie is an exceptional waitress. She is sociable and very attentive. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge.

Overall cute place but overpriced for what is offered. Firstly we came at night and couldn’t believe how dark it was in the parking lot, they have lights leading to the entrance but it isn’t enough. The inside was cute and our waitress was polite but the food just wasn’t up to par. Our beer tasted a tiny bit flat and the bread/Butter was terrible. The shrimp cocktail was good but wish there were more shrimp. We had French onion and lobster bisque but the French onion wasn’t cooked right and the cheese was just a hard layer on top that to break spilled most the soup annoying. Lastly, the lucky duck I ordered was very good, but their steak was sub-par and tasted more like it just came out of a microwave. Probably won’t come back here but was worth a try.
