No one greeted us when we walked in, the place was empty.
We had a coupon for buy one get one free chicken sandwich…but the coupon reads “buy a chicken club, get a chicken club of equal or lesser value. Value may be applied to ANY menu item.” I asked if I could buy the chicken club and get a portobello char as the free sandwich and the cashier told me no. I read the coupon to him, he took the coupon and read it himself and then said “it won’t work.”
I asked to speak with a manager and he told me he was the manager. He was very rude and had no customer service skills. The icing on the cake was when he said he would talk to a manager about it he had just told me he was the manager…? Then he got out his phone, checked the time, and put it away.
So, needless to say I won’t be back. The service was horrible. Not sure about the food, as I didn’t get that far.
P.S. I went to the other habit down the street and asked the cashier there about the coupon. She said she would have honored the coupon as it says value may be applied to ANY item and that I should go in on a different day to speak with the general manager.

Service here is horrible. The guy with the green shirt seemed to be in a bad mood. I asked him about a coupon I got in the mail without a code. He said to read it and figure it out. Then he over charged me for the original charbox. It should be 35.00 but he charged me for 40.00. I asked him about it and he said its taxes and he charged me the right price. It clearly says on the receipt build your own box for 40.

I really like it, no issues, friendly staff, food is decent for a fast food spot. I usually pickup the family combo meal, and you can’t beat the price, the amount of food served, and the taste. I find myself ordering it multiple times a month. Santa Barbara is something else too, one of the better sandwiches i like there.

I usually like The Habit. The first time I went to this location I ordered the number two which is a double char meal. After paying I asked for a few ranches and the girl at the window said that they normally charge for them. I paid $20 for the meal and they don’t give you some ranch? The burger tasted like it was fried in peanut oil. The peanut taste was so bad I didn’t finish the burger. The one in upland never charges for ranch and the food tastes much better. My son says their ice cream is good and cheap.

This place just opened up 2 weeks ago. I was excited to check it out as I’ve been to the one in Upland a few times and have never really had a reason to complain. But… this one in RC… I ordered the Chicken Club and a drink, no fries. It came out to around $14. Which is understandable if it is a good sized, quality sandwich, which it was not. It was all bread, very little chicken, bacon or avocado. I honestly felt ripped off. I can go down the street to Grand Burger, Tams or Legends and get a much better sandwich for around the same price.
Yesterday, I ran into my neighbor who was on her way to In-N-Out. I asked her why she was going to In-N-Out as opposed to The Habit. She always said she liked The Habit over In-N-Out. She responded with, “They’re too expensive and the quality has gone down.” I told her of my experience and then I said, “You know what? I bet you they were sold out or bought out. This always happens when a big investment corporation comes in. Portions and quality goes down. They’re only interested in their bottom line.” Sure enough, I looked it up this morning and it turns out The Habit was bought by YUM! Brands. The same company that owns KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. So in other words Kraft/Pepsi Co.
I WILL NOT BE BACK! I do not buy anything from this corporation. IMO, everything they make is pure garbage! It’s all highly processed, artificial, GMO crap!

The food tasted greasy especially the onion rings. Very nice spot clean and well maintained. The service was fast. The cost of the food reasonably priced.
