My husband made a reservation at Keller Chophouse for Valentines Day. He wanted to take me somewhere we have never been before. While I enjoyed the time with my hubby and our server was very attentive, everything else feel flat. Upon entering the restaurant, we had to walk through the bar, the servers station, past the live music, before finally reaching the hostess. The dining room was very small and packed tightly with tables. The tables were covered with red, wrinkled table cloths, tea lights, and 4 shriveled rose petals. We immediately noticed the noise level and the live music which consisted of a keyboard and a very animated guy doing his best to sing his take on some popular songs. As soon as we were seated we talked about leaving. In hindsight, I wish we had. As an appetizer, we ordered the chop house salad. They split it for us, which was nice and the portions were appropriate for two people. The salad is what you would expect and the homemade dressings were ok. Nothing to write home about. We asked for bread and the waitress brought us fresh, warm, bread. My hubby loved the crust on the bread. While waiting for our dinner, my husband ordered a glass of wine, and I ordered a mixed drink. I asked what the house vodka was, and the waitress replied that they had a variety of vodka and named a few. I asked for a vodka, with Diet Coke and lime. I received my drink quickly, but had to ask for and wait for the limes. I discovered when we got the check that my drink, served in short glass, was ordered as Grey Goose and Diet Coke, which was $16. When a customer asks what your house vodka is, they shouldn’t order top shelf vodka. While very nice and attentive, I do believe she ordered the more expensive vodka because we were splitting our meal and she was trying to inflate the check for a larger tip. Lesson learned. If I were to go back, I would be more specific. We ordered the prime boneless rib-eye (medium rare) to split, and two additional sides of mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Given the presentation, I thought the steak would be amazing. The steak was cooked medium and it was a thin cut. My husband’s half had a very large piece of gristle. There was not much flavor and honestly nothing special about it, other than the presentation. The mashed potatoes had very little flavor, but the macaroni and cheese was very good. The restaurant was cold, and when we asked about the temperature, we were told that we were there at the end of a their busiest day and a lot of the body heat had left. It was 8:45. Our check total was $145 That’s a hefty bill for two drinks, one appetizer, one steak, and two sides. Even given some things that I felt were unacceptable, we tipped our waitress more than 20% because she had to work on Valentines Day and we split our meal. When dining somewhere, we take those things into consideration. Unfortunately, we won’t be back, and we won’t recommend Keller Chophouse. There are plenty of other steakhouses where you can get a much better steak for 1/2 the price.

Had a great anniversary dinner here. It was a monday night and was not busy. There were only a max of 3 couples, including us here during our time. 6-7pm. The menu is not robust but i don’t think that is a problem. I had the cracklin chicken, which i thought was going to be a fried chicken style, but it was a half chicken just roasted with a glaze or gravy on top. Overall a nice plate. Got a side of onion rings on the side. These were very good. Wife had a special of three filet mignon medallions over three different items. That was good, she liked it.
Erik was our waiter and he did fantastic. Great service and very attentive. They also were aware it was our anniversary which i really appreciated and brought out a special dessert for us. That was a berry culee and was very delicious. Again great service. The music seemed a bit outdated. Would have preferred some instrumental.

I made a reservation here and hoped to enjoy a nice evening with my wife to celebrate Valentine’s Day the evening prior in what is described on the website as an “intimate atmosphere” and in OpenTable reviews as a “quiet and romantic” fine dining restaurant. Neither of these is remotely the case. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with blaring loud music playing at well over 85 decibels. The hostess couldn’t even hear me answer her or my wife multiple times when we gave her the name on the reservation. Instead she looked annoyed at us for not practically yelling over the volume. My wife mentioned she had a headache and the music was too loud, and all the hostess says was, “Well that won’t change.” And she, once again annoyed, prompted us a fourth time for the name on reservation. I spoke even louder and told her to cancel the reservation. I have been to many fine dining establishments and have never been greeted so horribly or been to one where the music volume was louder than a lawnmower. The experience was awful, and I will never be eating here as a result. This ranks among the worst restaurant experiences I have had and if I could give them 0 stars, I would.

EDIT: In response to the owner, perhaps you should make it very clear on your website that you play incredibly loud music on the weekends. Additionally, this hardly excuses the behavior of your hostess. An explanation would have been polite, perhaps an apology for the imposition. Instead, we were treated like simply a number and hardly deserved the dismissive attitude. I have been to many fine dining establishments including on Valentine’s weekend and have never encountered this. Your staff could use a lesson in manners and should always remember the customer pays your bills. Sadly, your response is also dismissive and suggests you don’t really care. Busy or not, your customers don’t deserve rudeness or an attitude of indifference from your hostess.

Wonderful experience here. We had dinner tonight, and from beginning to end it was incredible. The calamari was fantastic and delivered in uncanny timing, and the filet and rack of lamb were both beyond belief as well. Luke was our waiter, and I am over the moon with him. He provided a level of careful, unpretentious hospitality that I haven’t experienced in a very long time. 10/10 recommend, and give Luke a raise

Nice live music, the gentleman playing the piano & singing was very talented.

I ordered the scallops with mushroom risotto. Scallops were very small, and 3 came with the order. 3 scallops is usually enough to get me full if they are medium/large sized. The scallops were also undercooked a little bit. The risotto & asparagus was excellent though.

I also ordered the calamari appetizer & caprese salad. Calamari were small and had more breading than meat. The caprese salad had large tomato slices with little flavor, coupled with small slices of mozzarella.

Overall, I feel like they skimp on the seafood/vegetarian portions. I haven’t had the steaks, and I don’t think I will due to this experience, especially for the price.

Service was good.

Early Valentines Day dinner to beat the crowds, so stopped in for a bite.
First impressions walking in, place looks amazing. Nice lighting, tables and music that’s not blaring.

Get seated and order some drinks. Mailbu and coke and a Bloody Mary. Both tasted fantastic!

Next came a shrimp cocktail, 5 perfectly cooked shrimp and tasty cocktail sauce. Not chewy, like overcooked shrimp can easily get.

Salad and Pablano soup next, and again, both were very good. Soup was creamy, and a little spicy from the peppers, but not overly spicy. Perfect combo!

Dinner was a fillet and lobster tail, and sea bass. Steak cooked the way it was asked for, and the tail was also steamed well. Good flavors along with those French mashed potatoes I can’t remember the name of.

Sea bass was so tender and flaky you didn’t even need to chew it, haha. It was delicious and just melted in your mouth. Best I’ve ever had, hands down. That includes a very popular place in Massachusetts I’ve been too.

Desert was equally good. Our server Dewey answered our questions about various menu items and is very knowledgeable about the selections. Great attitude and friendly.

For our first visit, I was impressed, and surprised. Definitely be back to try other menu items.

I went to Keller Chophouse for the first for Lousiana night. And it was a amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and engaging. They had live music from wonderful band playing jazz, R & B and a little rock. The food was delicious (4 course meal) and it was only 80 dollars. My waitress (Magaly) was amazing, engaging, and made the dinner the highlight of my night. I cant wait come back and try out the steak.

The appetizers were amazing. I highly recommend the Morrocan Beef Cigars – truly amazing. The Beef Bruschetta were good. My wife and son really liked the Lobster Mac & Cheese. We all ordered the 8oz Filet Mignons and they were outstanding.

We will be back for another occasion to celebrate.

We went for valentines day, the food i would not even consider mid grade. I was very disappointed in the food and staff.
We had the 32 Oz porter house steak with lobster mac and cheese with the so called twice baked potatoes. We ordered the steak med rare it came out almost raw on the inside, the lobster mac and cheese was terrible and the twice baked potatoes awful as well. Not even going to go into how the staff did not listen. Very disappointed. Would have been happier with texas roadhouse to be honest, atleast the food is good there at a reasonable price.
300.00 dollars we spent on below average food.
