WOW!! Absolutely delicious. You want REAL sushi you have to come here. We found this place and we were in shock that we didn’t find earlier. Idk what else I could say besides that we have been to all sushi places around here & NOTHING compares. The owner was amazing and the food was amazing. They are opening another restaurant she told us.
We ordered Aries, Fancy volcano, Spider roll,
Orange chicken & fried rice, California roll, Tigers roll, Holy crab. Our favorite was Aries and Orange chicken & fried rice. But honestly they really all were so good. They also stayed open past closing time until we finished eating and we had no idea. Kind service and most of all the Sushi was like art work so soft and delicious & crunchy too. Thank you for a wonderful dinner (:

We have eaten Ume both dine-in and carryout at least a few times per month on average since they opened. We have not ever had a bad meal. The menu has something for everyone, the portions are huge, the quality of the food is top-notch and the taste is amazing! Evah and her staff are extremely friendly and always make everyone feel welcome.

Went out for dinner with my husband and we were both absolutely floored by our meals. The hibachi and sushi rolls were absolutely amazing. I’m unsure why this place isn’t talked about more but I think this may be the best sushi downriver.
The only downside to our whole experience was the atmosphere. The decor is great but the floor plan is the issue. They have the hostess booth in the middle of the dining area, so when people come in to be seated,or are waiting for a pick up order, they are hovering over people who are dining in.
Otherwise a fantastic restaurant we will be back!

Food was delicious especially the chicken and the scallop hibachi!! It is some of the best food we have had! Everything about this place is so special! The place mats, the plates, the tea kettle it’s all well thought out and special. The service was great even though it was one server for a busy restaurant.

New to Grosse Ile, so trying the restaurants here for the first time. Ume did not disappoint. This is the hibachi chicken take out, came with soup or salad. I got the miso soup and it was delicious. The food is so good. Fresh, hot and good portioning.
