We were able to sneak in during the soft open, they actually sat there Christmas Eve and decided to order one of everything that could be prepared gluten-free off the menu. Yes the chef is familiar with gluten-free restrictions and was super helpful, but enough cannot be said about the flavors and the perfection to which these dishes were executed. The combination of flavors was impeccable, each dish so unique but all at the same high quality.
Some of our kids thought they hated shrimp until they tasted the shrimp at this location, it’s just so well prepared.
The bone in pork chop along with the grits and brussels sprouts had an amazing blend of flavors
The roasted veggies and the sauces were done to perfection
Even the Caesar salad tasted like an upgraded version of a Caesar salad!
We can’t wait for many more dinners and date nights here, the server, the chef and the owner we’re all so engaging, polite and extremely on top of their service. It was overall an absolutely amazing experience!

Went for the soft-opening and was dazzled by the array of flavors and unique takes on seafood staples. The sauce on the mussel appetizers was savory. Oysters came pre-dressed in a delicious garnish. Ceviche using locally sourced shrimps was generous and just the right balance of tang. Scallops were delicious, although my wife would have liked a bigger portion given the price. The charred romaine ceasar was nicely dressed and ample. Service was friendly and attentive. Hoping this unique local restaurant has a successful future.

Came to Columbus for the weekend with family and wanted some good seafood to celebrate a birthday. Found out Austyn’s was a fairly new restaurant and figured based on the reviews and photos we would try. Definitely was a good choice. Great customer service, food tasted fresh and although only open a few months, still had options available that we wanted from off of the menu. I would definitely recommend!

I brought my dad here for dinner a few weeks ago, as we live in the area, love seafood, and love supporting small businesses. Completely blown away. Yeah, it’s not your typical ‘fancy’ resteraunt feel, but in my opinion, the more casual feel made it feel more personal, if that makes sense. Our waiter was very nice, and the chef came out to check on us as well. The food was OUTSTANDING. For sure the best salmon I’ve ever had. It’s a little on the spendy side, but I do think it’s worth it, as most everything is sourced locally or from other small businesses. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Also, keep in mind, they just opened, so over time little issues (staffing, menu, etc) will be ironed out. Keep it up guys!! I’ll definitely be back!

Server was super nice but obviously has never served before. Manager had to serve our drinks. Got her recommendations and went with them. Though her knowledge on menu was terrible. Shrimp cake were corn cakes. No shrimp taste whatsoever. House salad was really really salty. Mussels were in a bland tomato sauce. Bread was good. Filet was ok. Was served with roasted carrots which was the best thing we tasted here. Ciopino was in the same watered down sauce as mussels. Asked for extra napkins and never got them. And asked for butter for the baked potato and it never came out. This restaurant won’t be here long if it doesn’t greatly improve. Won’t be back

My wife and I eat at this restaurant this evening,it had a good ratings and it was our first time
1 the drinks were very good
2 the waiter was very good
3 the appetizers, the shrimp Rangoon and the medium shimps was delicious and the salad was the bomb.
4 my main dish was steak and potatoes the steak was under cook twice the potatoes were room temperature and butter was offered after the meal was served the butter was hard
5 when we got our bill they over charged us for the drinks
6 the atmosphere was very nice

While some of our food was good (the mussels and salmon entrée) the stuffed chicken was not stuffed and had no seasoning. Service was slow and inexperienced. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers and another 40 minutes for entrees. While we realize this is a new restaurant, and they need to iron out kinks, this seemed understaffed and unprepared.

Last night two associates and I went to Ashtyn’s Seafood House to give it a try. Ashtyn recently got his liquor license and his menu set, so I brought discerning travelers who frequent seafood havens like Portland, Seattle, New Orleans, ect. The food was amazing; I really can’t stress that enough. My friend used the word “perfect” to describe the scallops. The salmon was fresh and precisely cooked. Both the caesar and house salads were generous in size. If I’m forced to point out something wrong, they were out of Lava Cake and the server was clearly inexperienced. Experiencing great food brings the best conversations out of people and that was definitely the case last night. All three of us will be back with different friends.
