Stopped by today to get some food and the food was not good at all! The “smothered” chicken was so bad I couldn’t even eat it! The ribs were not tender, the collards taste like water and probably could have been cooked a little longer and the cabbage had an unusual taste, it did not taste like cabbage I normally taste. I normally get the hamburger steak whenever they sell that but I stopped getting that because it doesn’t come with rice which is new to me because most restaurants serve the hamburger steak on a bed of rice with two sides, so umm yeah I think I’m going to have to stick with RJs! I feel like I wasted $30 on food that was not good

Lord I’m so salty that I didn’t know this place was over there!! I went there for the first time yesterday 03/06/2025 and the service was amazing, the sweet lady in the front made it easy and explained all the food items to me and recommended what juices I should get. It was my first time there and she was patient with me and very helpful. The food tasted so good! 100/10! And you get enough food to save some for left overs for the next day if you don’t have a big stomach. I just warmed up my left overs and it’s still just as good as yesterday. The juice is so good too! I got some food for me and my kids. My daughter ate up her whole plate. Man this is my new spot Thank God this place is there. I forgot to take pics but next time I will lol

We were passing thru this small community and found Dad’s Place! What a wonderful place! I had the meatloaf rice and gravy and greenbeans with hushpups on the side. The best country cooking I have every eaten! I not a real fan of green beans. These were season to.perfection! Meatloaf was outstanding and I am a lover of meatloaf ! Rice and gravy to die for. What a great meal! Very filling. Pricing is great. The owner came in and started talking. He stated that he came from a family with 5 sister and always got into fusses with them. So his mom would bring him into the kitchen to keep him out of trouble. That is how he learned to cook great country food. He is also a big Dallas Cowboy fan. You can really tell by his decor he loves those cowboys. Don’t forget he has a Superbowl party! Will be a great place to be. Give this place a try if you get the opportunity you want regret it!

Being that I’m a soul food cook , I guess everyone has their own taste , it’s different but not to my standards, however customer service is excellent, atmosphere is amazing, clean , friendly environment and amazing staff , great smiles and very helpful when it’s comes to ordering so much to choose from..however again everyone has their own taste so next time I’ll try the chesse steak and burgers/ seafood etc and hold off on the soul food…! Blessings to this black owned restaurant and may God continue to be with you all on your journey!

Today’s special was beef liver❤️ and turkey wings❤️, but I was so indecisive, soooo I got the liver gravy put on my rice, turkey wings, and green beans w/ lemon cake! Everything was delicious !
