Quality Tex-Mex! We’ve been searching for a new Tex-Mex restaurant that knows how the food should taste and this place delivers!
We just had a delightful early dinner at El Noa Noa! Martha greeted us with a smile and was our server too. She’s a fantastic server. I had the 3 Burritos (Bean, subbed w/ queso; chicken w/ sour cream sauce; beef w/queso & refried beans and rice) and the hubby had the large Chicken Fajita burrito w/refried beans & rice. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The complimentary chips were warm and so crispy!
After we finished our meal, the owners mom stopped by and I was so excited to learn that her hubby was a Chef at El Chico in Richardson for 25 years! His experience shines on the plate and we are looking forward to our next visit! TIP: pay by cash to avoid the credit card fee.

Service and atmosphere were 5 stars. Totally unimpressed by the food. Tacos at Taco Bell, to me, are better. The beans were excellent, the rice nothing special, and the Ranch water was very good. I do not recommend unless you’re just going there for the drinks and karaoke.

Went here on a Sunday with family. This location is in a shopping center area, but that didn’t deter us. The service here was not the best, however, there was only one server for over 10-15 tables, so Grace is truly given, and my review will reflect that. The food here was not the best. Their queso was something similar to a rotelle dip and wasn’t fully seasoned. They’re soft drinks are really delicious. Everyone ordered a variety of different options. I ordered the fajitas for two, which turned out to be about 4-6 strips of each type of meat, and about eight shrimp for $42. The portions are quite small for fajitas. The rice is so good, but the beans are very bland and unseasoned this place could use a lot more seasoning on their foods and more servers. Parking lot is shared by all of the buildings in the shopping area. The restaurant ambience is somewhat of authentic Mexican style. They do have a mini bar that serves frozen margaritas, beer, and some liquor, ranging in price from about $10-$20. Typical Tex-Mex fare offered. Overall OK experience.

We were out apartment hunting when we stumbled upon El Noa Noa-what a find this hidden gem is! Now I love kind of “dive” looking , family owned Mexican restaurants because more often than not that’s where the FOOD is, and they didn’t disappoint. We went in and were seated immediately. Our server Leo was quick to get us drinks and our order. I had the Tex-mex cheese and onion enchiladas, my daughter the enchilada, tamale and taco dinner. The food came out in minutes and was awesome. The enchiladas stuffed with cheese rolled up in a soft corn tortilla-perfect- the Tex mex chili gravy was amazing-just the perfect blend of chili and cumin. The rice was tender, seasoned but not overwhelming and the beans creamy with a bit of cheese on top. My daughter loved her enchilada and tamales and Leo was great- on top of everything but not hovering. Over all a great experience. If you’re in Plano, around Park and Enterprise, you’ve got to go to this place!

Good place for lunch. Fajitas come out on a hot sizzling metal plate and you can get a lunch portion.

El Noa Noa Tex-Mex Restaurant in Plano, Texas, is a lively celebration of authentic Tex-Mex with a genuine Latin soul—bold spices, fresh ingredients, and that signature sizzle that instantly transports you to the heart of Mexico blended with Texas flair. This family-owned spot feels like a warm hug from abuelita, with colorful décor, lively mariachi energy, and the irresistible aroma of grilled meats, roasted chiles, and fresh cilantro greeting you at the door.
The menu is a delicious journey through Tex-Mex classics with generous portions and vibrant flavors. Kick off with the Fiesta Platter—a crowd-pleaser loaded with crispy beef and chicken fajita nachos dripping with melted cheese, tender chicken quesadillas, fiery stuffed jalapeños, and crunchy chicken flautas, all paired with silky guacamole, velvety queso, zesty jalapeños, and cool sour cream—like a street-food fiesta in one plate.
The Tortilla Soup is a comforting standout: tender chicken fajita in a rich, cumin-garlic tomato broth topped with crunchy tortilla strips, creamy avocado, fresh cilantro, juicy tomatoes, and gooey Jack cheese. The El Noa Noa Salad offers a fresh twist, with crisp greens, tomatoes, cheese, tortilla strips, and your choice of sizzling fajita meats or fried chicken, finished with tangy or spicy ranch.
Main attractions include the Classic Fajitas, sizzling on a hot skillet with tender, charred skirt steak, caramelized onions, and bell peppers—served with fluffy rice, refried beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and warm tortillas for perfect DIY tacos. Tacos al Carbon deliver smoky beef or chicken fajita in soft tortillas with melty cheese and fresh toppings, while the Top-Shelf Enchilada smothers chicken or beef in creamy sour cream sauce with grilled onions and peppers, alongside tomato-infused rice and savory ranchero beans.
Seafood fans love the El Noa Noa Platter—seared Texas redfish in a luxurious lemon-butter shrimp sauce with rice and colorful veggies. The Carnitas de Puerco brings fall-apart tender pork with smoky chipotle sauce, fresh cilantro, pico, rice, and beans—pure Jalisco comfort.
The menu weaves central Mexican guacamole and queso with northern border fajitas, Oaxacan-style chiles rellenos, and hearty Texan burritos and chimichangas, creating an authentic culinary tour in every meal.
Service is outstanding—warm, friendly staff with smiles and Latin hospitality who guide you through the menu, suggest spice levels, and keep your margarita or Mexican Coke flowing, making you feel right at home.
In the heart of Plano, El Noa Noa serves up passionate, flavorful Tex-Mex with irresistible rhythm. Whether it’s a quick lunch or a full fiesta, it’s a North Texas must-visit—¡salud!

I ordered a bowl of Ranchero beans and asked for a basket of chips to go with it. The chips never came, my food got cold and I was told I still had to pay for it. I did not eat it and returned it to the kitchen. Poor service and cold food. I did pay my bill. Now I get to leave a review.

Came with a group of 15 and it happened to be karaoke night. The staff and karaoke dj were so hospitable and kind letting our group of girls sing all the pop and tween songs without judgement or annoyance. Drinks were good, food was traditional tex mex and came out hot. Its a great local spot with good people.

The enchiladas were excellent as were the fried stuffed jalapeños. The salsa was good and they have the thick crunchy chips that I love so much. They weren’t busy at all which is a shame because they deserve the business. Will definitely return.
