4/5 but still a very nice breakfast/lunch that I’d recommend if your looking for a meal in the Ormond Beach area. Conveniently located right by the beach in a popular shopping plaza with ample parking. The food was tasty and the service was professional and friendly. I deducted a star cause the service was kind of slow, my egg Sammy was tasty but small, and they seated us right by the kitchen when there was only two other tables occupied. We were there around 2 after the lunch rush and still had to wait for water and our bill when finished. Not sure if that was a staffing issue but felt longer based on the low number of customers. Being an egg sandwich expert I found this one to be on the smaller size and made with a more petite egg. And lastly why the worst seating option in the far back corner by the kitchen entrance when there was only two other tables occupied in the entire joint. Guessing that was the “area” or “zone” to spread around the workload? But a good meal and positive dining experience. Why no beer available but a vodka bloody Mary ( that needed a shaking up)?

First Watch never disappoints. The food tastes incredibly fresh every time and the service has always been great. My hostess was especially graceful and friendly which made the visit even better.
The avocado toast is excellent, the coffee is consistently good, and their juices are always incredible. A reliable spot when you want a bright fresh breakfast or brunch.

Here’s a clearer, more polished version that keeps your message strong but makes it sound more professional and impactful:
The food at this restaurant chain is always amazing, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Our server, Zachary, was the worst server I’ve encountered here. It took about 10 minutes for him to come to the table, and he never introduced himself. The only reason I know his name is because it appeared on the bill.
We were never given napkins or straws, and he never checked on us or asked how the food was. When he dropped the bill on the table, he didn’t say a word or even make eye contact—he simply walked past. Meanwhile, other tables around us were receiving attentive service and friendly interactions.
My family and I had to ask other waiters who walked by for basic things we needed. It made the experience feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming.
Zachary, I hate to even feel the need to say this because my husband, my sons, and I are genuinely kind and respectful people. But if serving Black customers is an issue for you, then this may not be the right job for you. At the very least, treat every table with the same basic level of respect and professionalism.

I got to check out First Watch during their friends & family try-out before the grand opening and it was awesome! The food was fresh and delicious, and the vibe was super welcoming. Huge shoutout to our server Bridgette — she was amazing and made the whole experience even better! Can’t wait to come back once they officially open!

Was so happy to hear that Ormond Beach was getting a First Watch! Being familiar with the restaurant brand since dining at several Orlando area locations, I knew it would be a great fit for Ormond and for me! We had breakfast the other day during opening week and it did not disappoint. The Lemon Ricotta pancake topped with a dollop of lemon curd and fresh strawberries was delicious. Light and flavorful pancakes with a bit of creamy ricotta hit the spot! I indulged myself with the Million dollar bacon which balanced the sweetness of the pancake with a bit of cayenne pepper and brown sugar. Yum!
The staff is attentive, friendly, and efficient. The interior was comfortable, clean, and somewhere to meet friends or business partners to start your day. I believe the staff will be seeing me regularly as I can’t wait to try out their lunch offerings next!

I’m a visitor to Ormond by the Sea. My friend brought me to First Watch for breakfast. We sat outside and it was perfect. We ate great food, reasonably priced and the waitress were very attentive. It was the best place. Please go pay them a visit.

My wife and I arrived for breakfast about 7:30 a.m. on a weekday. There was only one other table in use when we arrived. We were seated quickly and provided menus by the hostess. And our server, Nell, came over promptly and pleasantly took our order. A problem arose when I ordered ‘100% cold squeezed orange juice’ and what came to the table was a watery orange liquid with no pulp and little taste. Nell removed the drink without issue and the hostess/manager brought us a sampling of two drinks from the juice bar which we found overly sweet. Our entrees, pancakes and a poached egg for my wife and the ‘traditional breakfast’ with two eggs over medium, home fries, toast and turkey sausage came to our table cold with my wife’s poached eggs very undercooked. We notified our server who removed the dishes and then had the new entrees delivered warmer. We have been in several First Watch restaurants across the country and have generally enjoyed our experience. So we were quite happy to discover one in Ormond Beach but the quality and presentation of the food at this location were well below the standard the franchise has set in other places. The manager did remove the cost of one entree on our bill. Additionally, the loud and energetic music compounded by the hard interior surfaces did not lend itself to conversation but by this point in our experience, we were content to leave our partially eaten meal, pay our bill and move on. All in all, a very disappointing experience at this First Watch location.
