This korean teriyaki restaurant is one of our favorites. The owner is always cheerful and welcoming with a smile, and the food is reasonably priced and all delicious and hearty. Our favorites are the Beef Teriyaki and the Soon Dubu Stew. During lunch time, they offer even more reasonably priced dishes.

I found out today that they sell dressing ($7) We love the taste of the dressing here so much that we are happy to have it at home.

The best soft tofu stew I’ve had yet. All other stews are going to be compared to this one. Was delicious and not too spicy. Just enough to make your nose run but still taste good. Hot stone bibimbap was also really really good. Chicken teriyaki lunch was a good deal. Was pleasantly surprised when we found this place, haven’t seen prices this low in months and it was so nice to have such a good meal without breaking the bank.

Pick up from this place a lot and had been wanting to try it out. Finally got the lunch special with the General’s Chicken with fried rice and a salad. It was pretty good and the chicken dish tasted even better later after I had put it in the fridge for awhile. The lunch special also comes with a small drink.
Today I tried out their Teryaki Chicken lunch special with the Gyoza. Very good!
The young lady who works the counter is always kind, considerate and asks me how I’m doing.

Came here thinking they had ramen. Lol They don’t. You go up to the counter to order. I got the chicken and noodle plate and it was pretty good but the chicken was only warm in temperature. I love a not super sweet teriyaki and this one is perfect! Our food came out fast. Too fast to have just been grilled after we ordered, but it was delicious. Our appetizer came out 2 minutes prior. The dressing on the salad is similar to ranch but I don’t believe it’s ranch. Everything was really good.
Edit- As we sat at our table, I noticed how quickly people’s orders came out after ordering. I timed one as they seemed to come out 2 minutes after. It took 2:34 for orders to come out. There’s no way this food is made to order.

I had the orange chicken and potstickers. Those potstickers were life changing!! So good!! I could have eaten two orders of those and been so happy. The orange chicken was good but not the best I’ve had.

I’ve eaten at a lot of franchise restaurants throughout my life, but nothing beats a mom-n-pop ran shop that makes food because they enjoy it… If you’re in town and passing through, STOP HERE. What a healthy affordable lunch option! First time eating here. Service is fast and friendly. It’s quality teriyak, and they do nice little side salads instead of cabbage, which I think is a nice substitute. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m getting lunch in Hillsboro.

I’ve been getting takeout and eating in person at Nara Teriyaki for years and have have only good experiences. Their portions are huge and delicious. I typically get their fried rice and gyoza, but was very impressed with the spicy pork and noodles my most recent visit.
