Super cute small restaurant with a really nice remodel and a welcoming vibe. We started with a salad to share, which was fresh and a great start to the meal. I had the black cod and my husband had the white sea bass – both were well prepared and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall a really enjoyable dinner and a lovely spot.

I was so excited to see that Brigitte had reopened after taking some well-deserved family time. We had a 7pm reservation, and it seemed like everyone was just as happy to be there as we were — people truly enjoyed lingering at their tables.
The owner immediately recognized that we might experience a slight delay and welcomed us with a complimentary glass of champagne, a hug, and the words, “Welcome home, we missed you.” I’ve never felt so genuinely cared for at a restaurant.
I love French cuisine, and I’m incredibly grateful for this place. I’ve dined at “higher-end” French restaurants where the price and quality don’t come close to what Brigitte offers. I honestly can’t say enough good things.
We enjoyed the beef tartare prepared tableside, along with the French onion soup. For our mains, we had the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin and the steak frites. Everything was cooked to perfection — honestly better than I could have even imagined.
These owners deserve a Michelin star. They’ll have my business for as long as they’re open — they truly make you feel like family ❤️

Amazing…..magnificent and perfect from the time you walk in to the time you roll your full self out the cozy door. My husband and daughter and I went to this amazing establishment for Christmas Eve dinner and everything was perfect. Friendly vibes attentive staff and suburb food. We live in Novato but are in Petaluma very often and this is just another great place to eat that will be on repeat. Cozy bistro vibe with just super great traditional french food. Definitely make reservations because they get packed. And definitely keep room for dessert – I wish Novato would step it up when it came to great places like this. Worth every drop of calories we consumed that night can’t wait to come back. Just superb

Some of the best food in Petaluma! A bit on the expensive side but perfect for occasions, celebrations and just to sit and connect with loved ones over great food. Service was great too. We ordered several items, but absolutely loved Beef Bourguignon, Tuna tartare and Tiramisu. Crème Brûlée was good too.

We started with French onion soup. Absolutely delicious! My husband had duck confit and I had the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. Both were incredibly tasty. The service was warm and friendly. Chef Ronan regularly stopped to visit with guests and even sat with us for a bit and we chatted about making humble, beautiful ingredients shine. Truly, he and the staff are excellent at making patrons comfortable! Finally, a table side firing of créme bruleé and a generous and rustic chocolate mousse topped our meal off and I have to say, we loved it! We loved it and will definitely return! Merçi beaucoup, Chef and staff! Ç’est magnifique!

My family and I had an amazing experience dining at Brigitte Bistro. We received the warmest welcome from the owner right when we walked in the door. Then we were treated to scrumptious dishes: onion soup gratinée, black cod, sea bass, steam frites, crème brûlée table side, and ile flottante. I loved the service, the food, the atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back!

Exceptional experience! We had a team dinner here last week and the entire staff at Brigitte Bistro was so thoughtful, hospitable and welcoming. Every single dish was delicious and we absolutely loved the table side tiramisu. Cannot wait to come back. Will be telling all my friends and family that this is a must visit when in Petaluma/Sonoma.

Went for the first (absolutely not the last) time last night and it really made such an impression on me I wanted to say a thank you. The food was phenomenal. Out of the two starters, our mains and the dessert – there was nothing we thought was just “okay” it was all fabulous. Our server was the best and he truly made the experience that much better for us, he was cracking jokes and made us feel so welcome like we go there all the time. We went right after opening at 4 on a Sunday, I forgot to make a reservation but we figured we’d just try and they were able to seat us and I’m so happy they did! I’ll definitely be making reservations in future because it filled up fast and we just got super lucky. Thank you all for the experience, it was an amazing birthday dinner thanks to all of you (: PS – Get the Pistachio Tiramisu. Even if you’re bursting at the seams full. It’s the best tiramisu my boyfriend and I have ever had. I would go back if even just to eat that.

Our foursome had a superb dining experience. The place was a lively good looking group. The sea bass and dressing was cooked to perfection. Our friends had the bouillabaisse which was as close to Paris as you can get. The steak tartar, leeks, steak frites and salad were also incredible. Wines by the glass were impeccable; you can sample before the pour. Dining was one of best we’ve had in N.California. The chef and owner is a delight!!

Brigitte Bistro is an absolute gem. The food is thoughtful, well executed, and consistently delicious, but what really makes the experience special is the atmosphere. It’s welcoming, cozy, and feels effortlessly elevated without being pretentious. The staff is attentive and kind, and you can tell there’s real care behind every detail, from the menu to the service. It’s the kind of place you leave already looking forward to your next visit. Highly recommend.
