Love this place. I also went with my friend from India, she said it was good so I’ll take her word for it too.
Great staff, super nice, prices are average not cheap, but not expensive either. I would definitely recommend.

Great food but inconsistent hours. Called at 7:30 on a Thursday and were told that they were closed.
If you want REAL spicy food, order your food “Indian hot” other wise they give you junk.
Also. Order in if you want full portions. Otherwise they give you an partial portion for at 16$ entire.
Overall, the food is great but you need to be aggressive About not being taken advantage of- it’s a shame.

Quality, efficient customer service & comfy ambiance! I’ve eaten at more than a few Indian restaurants. Maharaja is by far thee BEST tasting and surprisingly MOST inexpensive place my taste buds have experienced. It was a very busy night (I imagine it always is the food is just too good). My husband and I greatly enjoyed our dinner and will be back for ALOT more!!

One of the best appetizer platters I have had. Great food quite space. Prices were fair. I would highly recommend the samosas. Great papadum and the Mint chutney was on par with what I had in India. Don’t let the location fool you. Looking to coming back soon.

We had been here looking at the reviews we saw. But the food was not good at all. If you are looking for authentic indian food, this is not they place to go.
The staff was helpful and decent enough to attend the customers at regular intervals. But for the food quality, I won’t vote for it.

Having grown up in the UK I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food over the years. The food here was absolutely exceptional and I give it a solid 5 stars. Everything was hot, spiced right and fresh. Would not hesitate to come back.

Tonight I ate here for the third in the last six weeks. I have been very pleased each time. We had the Vegetable Samosa appetizer, mixed nan platter, and coconut soup to start us off. Everything was delicious. We especially love the three dipping sauces for the breads…My favorite is the mint and Tamarind, and my husband loves the onion. Dinners chosen were Shrimp Curry and Kadhai Chicken; both outstanding! We had chai tea to drink; also perfect! Service was exemplary, as usual. We are so lucky to have this Indian restaurant in southern Rhode Island. We will be back!

I haven’t eaten there in years, but I remember it being good so we ordered takeout around 7:30pm. They told us thirty minutes, and I sent my boyfriend and his brother. They arrive only to be told that there were no takeout orders. He walked out to call me and to make sure I called the right place (which I did). He walked back in to double check, where they then said that they found the order and that it was never put through, so instead of waiting even longer my boyfriend left. I don’t know why they initially told him no takeout orders had been placed when obviously there had been. I called the restaurant during this time to inquire about the order, and was told if they wanted to wait 10 minutes they could have it done. We opted not to wait. By this time, it had been almost an hour since initially placing the order and we weren’t interested in giving them our business after all that. It’s a shame, because I remember the food being good. The service during this experience however was definitely not good.

So they were out of a certain wine but they were totally willing to go to the store to get what we needed–although we ended up something they had on-hand, the offer was appreciated! Only thing was our party of six was given the same amount of snacks (chips with the sauces) as we get when there’s just 2 of us. It would have been 5 star if there was enough for everyone. Everyone liked their food and the waiter was great!

Amazing, amazing, amazing food. The lamb Korma is my absolute favorite dish. Totally worth the 45 min drive to get here. Sometimes they are hesitant to make the food as spicy as I like it (too many heat wimps eating there) but when they really do make it Indian spicy it’s great.
