We have eaten or had drinks at Michener’s Library within the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay on three separate occasions. We love the dining room and the views of the bay from this establishment. The service is great, and the food is solid as well. This is the best place on property to grab a drink during your stay.

Let me tell you about my experience. After we sit down, we wait 15 minutes for someone to ask us what we want to drink. As we wait for the drinks to arrive, a Karen next to us is complaining to a server that she can’t get a table and that there is “no order” involving who gets a table first. The server tells her to just wait for a free table, so she stands off to the side stalking everyone else eating. At about the same time, a guy by himself snags a table with 9 chairs. No one knows why. Finally, after about 10 minutes of death stares, Karen is able to get a table. As soon as she sits down, a different server spills a glass of water all over a boy sitting at a nearby table, so now he has to go and change his shirt. Karen’s husband has now gotten up 4 times asking for who knows what (even though they already have a table and he just needs to be patient) and now he’s just standing next to the bar looking defeated. The boy eventually comes back with a new shirt but has to sit in the same soaking wet chair. Now, a guy shows up at the bar next to our table taking at level 100 and laughing at level 3000. We order our food and it arrives eventually and is pretty good, but at this point 18 different people wearing lanyards have walked in and are now just wandering from table to table looking for somewhere to sit. And the Karen still hasn’t gotten her food so she looks like she wants to punch someone. Basically, if you’re looking for a fun cast of characters, come here. Overall though it kind of became a great experience. Very entertaining.

Food and drinks were excellent and so was the service. We had the Eastern Crab Dip, flatbread, and Caramel Apple Pie, all delicious.

Food and drinks not worth the price. Food was not good. There were shells in the cream of crab soup and the grilled chicken on my caesar salad looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 6 hours and was so dry it was uneatable. The drinks were also bad… one tequila drink we got basically tasted like just pineapple juice with a spicy rim.

Food was great but service was not. Over an hour and several bar drinks and the food hadn’t shown up. They ran out of some drinks and didn’t say so for so long. It wasn’t particularly busy unsure why it took so long.

The food was okay, but not anything to go out of your way for. Fries were very tasty (and salty) and the buffalo wings were buffalo wings. One of my family members thought there would be more books, given the place’s namesake; but, there was not one book to be found. Barnes, our server, was very nice and attentive, (although it helped to get him into my good graces because he was a fellow Ravens fan). If you’re at the resort and need a place to eat, then by all means come here, but don’t come here out of your way expecting something out of the ordinary.

The Shore Burger!!!! Delicious!!! I think it’s only on the menu for lunch. Delicious!!! The cream of crab soup was good too, too bad it was lukewarm when it came out!! I didn’t really like the “restaurant” seating, it was like eating in a hotel lobby. But the view was worth it!!

I order 2 steak meals from Micheners for 38 dollars a piece and was very disappointed. They give you a little bit of food…the amount a toddler would eat. Both steaks were burnt on top. The food taste ok but definitely not worth 38 dollars. I felt rip off …never again

Very pricey drinks that had minimal alcohol in them. The charcuterie was the worst we had ever been served. The staff was complaining about other customers in front of us. We will not return.
