We stopped in on a Sunday evening on our way to NYC. The bar tender was very friendly and provided great service. She managed everyone in the place well. This is the place to have a burger, probably the best we had in a year. Beer selection was good, too, with local options.
The cook came out to ask how our meals were and thank us for stopping by. Others in the bar knew each other which gave Star Bar and Grill a nice warmth.

Dog friendly if dog is well behaved and is a service dog. We make it a point to stop here 1-2 times a month on our way to summer cabin in Walton NY. Waitress’s and cook are very friendly and food is way way better than “diner food”. Its local bar, but a treasure for travelers. – Gregory

We are staying in the area in an air b&b cabin. We saw the positive reviews on yelp, however, we couldn’t find an updated menu online. We called the restaurant & an employee sent us a picture of the updated menu. I urge management to post a menu on your website or Facebook. I would also recommend a light sign for the restaurant, as it’s hard to find.
I had the honey dipped fried chicken, and she had a burger and Buffalo mac. I can honestly say that it was the best fried chicken I have had in my life. They must marinate the chicken before they fry it, it was so tasty. I also grabbed a few local cans of brew to go. All items were packaged nicely for takeout. The food is amazing!!!!

The atmosphere was a small town bar vibe, great for watching some games and hanging out. Service was fantastic, and the wings were outstanding. The rest of the food was also excellent, would highly recommend this spot.

I ordered my burger well done, French fries definitely did not look like the pictures, they were super skinny and stringy. I requested to have the french fries well done and crispy, as well as the wings well done and crispy, the wings actually look like the chicken skin was whitish and dryed out.

Great little bar and grill! We watched the baseball game while we ate delicious burgers and drank great beer!
We had the mushroom Swiss burger w sweet fries, classic cheeseburger w onion rings and pork sliders w regular fries – all were delicious. Catskills brewing beers were great and our server Sherri was awesome and helpful. Highly recommend!
