Prices and food quality have taken a nose dive over the past 2 years. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese. Not only does the bacon taste like they have gone down on quality, and they only put like 3 pieces of bacon. but for $8.50 for just that is crazy. I go to “Everything Begal and Deli” in Bayonne every morning before work. $9 you get a loaded breakfast sandwich and an orange juice for $9. You’re talking about up north where prices are higher. I think it’s time for this place to go out of business and for someone to provide a new place that isn’t expanding to bleed our community

This is a $5 to $6 sandwich in today’s market at most. Extra $2.50 is pure profit

Also….49 cents to use your card. Listen, I get it. Everyone is doing it now. But when you have a lot of business and profit margins is what it it is, you should do something to look out for your customers. The place I listed above also does not charge extra for using your card.

My go to bagel place for 8 years now, specially this location. Food is always phenomenal, bagels are always fresh! Good pricing. Staff is so friendly, always get me in and out fast. Parking on the weekends can be tough but obviously expected, even with all of the spots and street parking, they’re just that good! Weekdays can always get a spot. Would definitely recommend this spot!!!

10/30/2024 bought a variety of bagels in a a bag. All varieties were stale, dry and hard and likely a day or two old. When your jaw hurts after eating them they’re stale. Used to be good but I’ll likely throw away half a dozen stale bagels.

The problem with charging $1.70 for a bagel (not toasted and nothing on it) is that you set an expectation for amazing at that price. The bagel was mediocre at best. Sorry, won’t be back.

Great for a quick bite. Pretty standard bagels, pastries, and coffee but pretty inexpensive.

My family and i love getting breakfast sandwiches from there, they are away hearty with the eggs n pork roll etc. When the kids have friends sleep over, well go there to a dozen or two of bagels. Never had a bad meal from here. If you haven’t been there yet, i suggest you should try, you wont be disappointed. Enjoy!

Would be 4 stars if they learned what “please hold” actually means instead of consistently lying to customers and leaving them on hold for upwards of 15 minutes and never returning to the phone to take the order. Don’t even bother calling into this place if it is even remotely busy because they will put you on hold before you can even open your mouth to respond and there is an 80% chance you’ll sit on hold for eternity as you hear the staff laugh and joke in the background and do just about everything under the sun besides pick up the phone. Unprofessional at best when it comes to working the phone, and couple that with the $10 breakfast sandwiches and it makes it tough to want to go back to this location. Being busy is one thing but the I can hear the employees small talking customers waiting for their food, with no other orders to take, and this is insulting while you wait on the phone for 15 minutes. If you hang up and call back then the phone is off the hook so the call doesn’t even go through. Either get a better system for the customer to call ahead, or have some accountability for your employees.

I WILL NEVER go back…Upcharged for a green bagel on st.pattys day $2.95 bringing rhe total for a plain bagel with cream cheese to $7.70 for the 1 begal. Something that cost 2.00 to make. $ 16.00 for 2 begals and 2 gator aids….Ridiculous

I have been going to gems since they first opened in Keansburg! They have good food and I understand with food cost they had to raise prices. I wish they would put a little bit more on breakfast sandwiches for what they charge. Other than that they still taste great and the employees are always friendly!
