This was solid.
I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats. Though the delivery time was close to half an hour, I’m happy to report the food and packaging survived the trip with little ill consequence.
The beef chow fun was a definite hit. I loved the savory sauce on the slippery noodles, and there was a generous amount of tender beef throughout the container. This was a pure carb-and-protein delight.
Over the course of travel time, the sauce inside the beef with broccoli became chilled and slightly gelatinous. While it looked slightly unappetizing, the taste was great. The broccoli was also well tender, which I appreciated because I’m regularly disappointed with al dente veg from other Chinese restaurants.
I also ordered a shrimp egg roll, mainly out of curiosity because it was my first time seeing it on a takeout menu. While there are definite chunks of small shrimp inside, I found the actual taste to be nearly indistinguishable from other egg rolls because the filling was mainly cabbage.

This food used to be amazing when I moved here a little over a year ago and now it’s straight trash!! My family and friends have spent a lot of money here and we used to love it. Lately we had to throw away our last couple of orders bc when we called to complain we were given a hard time. I do know what happened but it’s disgusting now! The last few times we ordered the food was over cooked, flavorless and mushy. Lumps of corn starch slurry floating n the sauce. Ewwww!! Save your $ people I’m sure there are other places that will take pride in what they serve and go above and beyond to make a botched order right… But that place is not here.

After trying out a few Chinese food spots around the Fairview/Cliffside/NB area, Fairview Chinese has been the most consistent with taste and value for the price. I’m the kind to stick to one spot once I know I’ve had a few good experiences, and this place is one of them. It’s always a good meal from them.

Ordered takeout for delivery through Uber eats, food arrived shockingly fast. Delicious foods, the best Chinese takeout I’ve tried so far in Fairview. The Singapore rice noodles was a bit too spicy but still delicious, the spare rib tips were moist and flavorful. I’ve tried places that cook them into the texture of dry tree bark. Will be my go to Chinese takeout now.

The food is disgusting. First and last time I buy from this place. Chicken fried rice: plain yellow, overcooked rice with strips of boiled; white, no flavor/season, chewy chicken. Plain tasting. Went straight into the garbage. You’ll be better off with fried eggs and bread.

Great Food, great Service, great atmosphere . There is a reason why this place is popular. They have very tasty Chicken lo-mein, Beef and Broccoli was fresh.
The Shrimp and Lobster Sauce was well balanced. Not too salty. It was perfect with their jasmine rice.
Also try the house made ice tea.
