The atmosphere has absolutely beautiful and on spot to begin with. The restaurant itself is spacious and it is also very clean with an accessible bathroom for the public, which is crucial.
It was welcoming to see the owner walking around the restaurant as well as working in the kitchen with the other employees. This shows an equal working environment and atmosphere, which is critical.
Manners of the employee’s were gracious, and they had known the menu very well. I had custom order my own sandwich and that came out exactly the way I had ordered it.
The food itself was made out of fresh products right then and there as ordered.

I have to say being from Brooklyn, New York home of the best pizza and Italian food, Varriales stands there with the best of them, sauce is delicious , the eggplant Parmesan is to die for, the chicken Parmesan is fabulous. The sausage and peppers is amazing and the pizza is just as good as I remember growing up if you wanna have good food, and great old school tasting pizza , this is the go to place in Whiting if not all of Ocean county without question !!! There is no competition

Whoever said the atmosphere of this restaurant is good is a liar. I have to laugh out loud. This restaurant is very underwhelming to tell the truth. The look of restaurant itself is actually dated, drab and quite plainly… dirty looking. The son of the owner is sarcastic and he treats his driver’s disrespectfully. I watched him as he spoke down to him. I truly felt bad for that guy. It’s terrible to work for someone who doesn’t appreciate you at all. There are way better places to eat, and if you order from Applebee’s the food is actually cheaper and way better. Funny huh???

After visiting Friends, Kit and I swung into this spot for lunch.
Kit had a whole #11 Turkey Sub with no cheese, which she ate half and took the rest home…
I chose the whole #12 Deluxe Sub with all the usual toppings and got peppers…
Sandwiches were large, more than enough meat and prepared with the right amount of lettuce, onion’s and tomatoes on mine and no tomatoes for Kit …

Best pizza in Whiting. Tried all 3 pizza shops and this beats them all. Fast service, accurate pickup times, great prices, friendly and most important – delicious! The crust is never burnt, always soft and really tasty.

Also, they’re a family, so it’s a very nice staff, always happy to see us and they remember my mom’s special dietary needs (she’s celiac, so she needs to eat gluten free, and they pull together meals in ways that let her have dishes she has been craving but unable to get – unbreaded chicken parm, gluten free pizza, pasta fagiola soup – minus the pasta, etc.).
We have been coming back with great regularity since our first visit. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! 🙂

Little cramped for dining indoors. It’s definitely a go-to. Sad the reviews are low for this one. Food was so crispy yet, cheesy crust with bread. Little greasy but plenty of flop to the pizza. It was truly mouth-watering. Very affordable. Garlic knots are tip tier too!

This quaint little pizza parlor located in the Stop & Shop plaza is an excellent place for Italian food. The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. Stopped in for a quick lunch and had the chicken Parmesan dinner. My wife had the Fried shrimp sandwich with roasted red peppers and mozzarella. It was terrific and we will be back for more Italian food soon.

I love sautéed onion greenpeppers and fresh mushrooms but was disappointed in what wastoppig my pizza.canned mushrooms, uncooked red onions and stringy green peppers. There was very little cheese or tomato sauce either. I dont expect to buy ppizza there again.u

Have the people that make the pizza ever tried the pizza??? Or any pizza?? Pieces of raw garlic as big as a quarter. Burnt crust. Just a nasty pizza. Would not recommend the Nino’s Fantasia pizza. For sides, all of the garlic knots are raw in the middle. The only reason this isn’t a one star review is the wings actual weren’t that bad. So if you get anything from here, get the wings
