The owner was a very pleasant man that could hold a great conversation and gave a family feel to the whole takeout experience. I had very little wait time from the time I placed my call to picking it up. Very timely. Food was hot and tasty. Nice selection of cold beverages. You can see the food being made right behind the counter which is pretty awesome and the smells are great as soon as you walk in the door!

Don’t let the post underneath me fool you, this place is the best in town hands down. And the owners are the nicest people to me and my child. If you look in the kitchen they usually have about 10 tickets almost every time,because everybody goes there so I already know it’s going to be a minute. Just blows my mind this place is highly recommended but miss Karen underneath me putting them down in every way possible so I guarantee you will be glad for you not to come back. I recommend that you call your order in because it does take time but it’s well worth it

Spicy house special fried rice was good, I did add some spice at home as I prefer it a little spicier. Beef with broccoli (w/garlic sauce) was tasty, and we enjoyed the boneless spare ribs appetizer as well. Thank you for the excellent service.

Highly Recommend! They are BUSY, so plan for it to take longer then they say on the phone if it is dinner time. Pro tip: Order the chicken & broccoli with brown sauce instead of the white sauce 😉 and don’t skip the crab rangoons!

I have been craving and no one could give me a good recommendation, so I chose this place. They had menu’s on the counter that I used to order from. After I was charged $46 for my food, I asked for a menu so that I could take home, and I was told that the menu was about 6 years old and the only thing that was different, was the price!! Fist mistake. I was very surprised that it took 30 minutes for my order. I ordered the 3 piece teriyaki beef, boneless spare ribs (both appetizers), sweet & sour chicken lunch special and chicken & broccoli with no rice. According to the menu I ordered off of, it should have cost me $30.80 (before tax). Second mistake, not checking what the prices actually was). I had the teriyaki beef on my way home and it was paper thin, with some flavor. The boneless spare ribs came in a container that normally was used for rice. It was dry & extremely dry. Normally I would get this in a tin container with some sauce on it. The sweet & sour chicken were large with lots of breading and little chicken, and I believe over fried. Now, on to the chicken & broccoli, this was disgusting!! It looked like the chicken was maybe steamed and it was a clear/yellowish sauce with water chestnuts. I always have gotten my chicken & broccoli (from other places) in a brown sauce. The pork egg roll was good and the rest of the food went into the compost bin. I will never go here again or recommend this place to anyone. What a waste of my money.

The GT was large chunks larger than golfballs. Sadly it was mostly batter. The chicken wasn’t the size of a Lima bean. The batter was some disgusting pancake like batter. This dish was just awful. Certainly not Gen Tao’s whatever it was.
The egg rolls were actually a spring roll I think, the wrapper was doughy and gummy, just a wreck of a dish.
The dumplings, wow, the wrapper was so thick and pasty. It was just awful. This is a simple dough and and easy dish, but man yall did it wrong.
The Crispy noodle and beef was not bad. They tried to velvet the beef but have no real idea how so it was more slimy than velvet.
The steamed rice was good! They did that well.
I wasn’t expecting much for small town VT, and boy was I let down.
Wasted $46. The GT is just damn criminal. House Special indeed it’s a money maker for sure.

Owner is always very friendly and the food is always consistent with good portions. Honestly one of the better Chinese restaurants around, particularly for VT. Like a lot of people have mentioned, the wait times can get long – I usually call at least an hour before I’m expecting to pick up.

I ordered 2 general Tso’s combo meals and Human Chicken yesterday and all of it was the worst Chinese I have ever had! The combo meals had only 4 pieces of General Tao’s chicken where anywhere else has at least 20! Worst Chinese ever! And whoever did the carpentry work in that place are amateurs!!!!!! My 16 year old son does better work
