Our next family food adventure take us to Don Pan located in Flager with a category of 4.1 and more than 942 reviews, this have a lots of bad reviews and I respect all of them.
But my experience when visit the place today January friday 2 was perfect I come for a coffee with pan de bono, The combination was perfect, the coffee was creamy and had just the right amount of sugar, and the pan de bono was warm and delicious.
Our waiter Belkis was friendly and helpful to make my order thank for the great service.

one of the best hidden gems in sweetwater. my favorite things to get are the Milohojas and Shredded meat empanadas, paired with a Malta. Everyone is so attentive and friendly. Marcela was very nice and welcoming. She recommended the fried empanadas. Delicious! 10/10 recommend!

I Had been here for a regular coffee and cake. I had ordered pandabon and surprisingly the bun had a sharp metal pin sticking outside with prick my finger. When showed to the store employee, she mentioned it not bad. since she was not english speaker it took time for me to explain the matter. Later they replaced my bun. Please kindly inspect your food after ordering here !!

They wanted to charge me .50 cents for the garlic sauce after I just bought a bunch of stuff because I didn’t get anything fried.
It’s ridiculous that a business who over charges on everything already, is charging for a side of sauce when all the competitors in south Florida provide is for free. Never coming back idc if the owner responds to my comment.

I cannot recommend this place, it looks good but it’s a huge disappointment.
I went there for lunch and ordered a bowl, they told me to wait so they can check if they have the ingredients for my order. They came back and said yes, but in the end they served me what looked like and tasted like old scraps, I’m not exaggerating. The rice was hard, stale, and plastic tasting. The meat was overcooked and full of tendons, just really bad quality. On top of that they were rude and expected a tip. Really? This place needs to shut down or get new management.

Disappointing Experience
I am incredibly disappointed with the service at this restaurant. After waiting 45 minutes for our order, we discovered that our ticket had never made it to the kitchen. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, they were uncooperative and unorganized. Instead of quickly addressing the issue, they argued and looked for excuses, further delaying our meal.
When the food finally arrived, my arepa was cold and incorrectly prepared. Despite being regular customers who always order the same thing, the staff insisted we ordered it that way—an impossible claim given that they had lost the ticket! The entire experience was frustrating, and my children grew tired of waiting.
I eventually asked for a refund because I lost my appetite. The staff made no effort to make up for the situation, leaving us feeling as though we were inconveniencing them. After years of loyalty to this restaurant, we will not be returning. It’s unacceptable to treat paying customers this way.
