Just like other people mentioned – their portions are getting skimpy.
This is the photo from 2023 of how their food used to look like, now the kufta patties are about 60% smaller and dry as hell because it’s impossible to cook a good patty in such a tiny size. The same goes for chicken. I didn’t take a picture of their recent portions because there wasn’t much of it.
I understand that everything has gotten more expensive, but if they named a fair price for their services and delivered the same quality I would have accepted this. But now, receiving much less of what it used to be for a higher price feels like cheating, so I’m not returning.

The hummus chicken shawarma was absolutely amazing. The chicken was so well seasoned it made for an amazing combination with the hummus base that had actual chickpeas for a pleasant add of texture. Topped with amazing pickled mango sauce and lemongrass that adds the perfect zest to the dish I left beyond impressed. On top of that they had the perfect pita in texture and taste it was the best lunch I’ve had all week. I will be back again without a doubt!

We’ve always heard great things about this spot and finally got around to trying it. Absolutely delicious food (some of the best babaganoush I’ve had!) and incredible customer service. They made a mistake on my order but quickly rectified it and went above and beyond to apologize for the error. This is definitely going on our “go to” list!

Editing this review. Your employees at the counter seriously need customer service training. I arrived at 12:30pm, there was a single (as in ONE) customer in the store and your employee tells me “it’s going to be at least a 20 minute wait for food, i have online orders to do and customers already here” (1). You prioritize four online orders over a customer standing right in front of you? It doesn’t and shouldn’t take 20 minutes to make a falafel sandwich. This came from him after he made me stand there waiting for a minute while he packaged sauce in containers as I stood right in front of him waiting for him to assist me. Yesterday I came with a friend and waited 10 minutes with her as the inefficient employees couldn’t move the person in front of us along. We wound up leaving yesterday as well. Now this experience today (obviously I left and went to Coda next door). Despite the food being good, It’s making it very difficult to argue to come back to the restaurant. Do better. בושה!

Excellent Middle Eastern food served here. You really can’t go wrong with anything, be it a sandwich or a bowl; whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or meat lover. However, the service can be a bit faster.

Have been craving Israeli food since leaving Israel a few weeks ago. Stopped in for a late lunch. Only one other couple in the store. Ordered the sabich pita and it arrived very quickly. It was delicious and filling. He also wished me a happy holiday (rosh hashana) which has never in my life happened to me outside of a religious Jewish neighborhood, very thoughtful. Will be back!

Great food!!
The place is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. You can’t sit inside at the moment but they offer heating outside. The food is awesome, large selection of Israeli and Middle Eastern dishes like Sabich, Hummus and Falafel. They also sell salads for take out and their Labane is outstanding! Good job!
My one single comment is that the eggplant on the Sabich was soaked with oil.

Been coming here for a few years and the food is always tasty. Sad to give a 2 star but the portions have gotten so skimpy I find it hard to order. The labne, chicken Sharma, and snitzel are about half the size they used to be but with a price increase.
No longer feels like hospitality when you are still hungry.

I really wanted to like Chutzpah Kitchen after hearing the hype, but unfortunately, it completely missed the mark. The falafel was dry, the hummus lacked flavor, and the portions felt stingy for the price. I ordered takeout and several key components (sauces, sides) were missing—no explanation, no apology. For a place that brands itself on bold flavors and “chutzpah,” everything tasted surprisingly bland.
To make matters worse, the staff seemed rushed and dismissive when I tried to call about the order issues. I expected vibrant Middle Eastern street food, but what I got was overpriced and underwhelming. Definitely not worth the trip.
Also, Cultural appropriating!

I love Chutzpah. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly. My family and I have been going here for years.
The reason I’m giving just three stars is because – slowly – the portions (for the platters, at least) have been getting smaller and smaller. It’s shrinkflation. My wife and I are not the kind of people who like to overeat. The portions are still decent if you don’t have a big appetite, but let me tell you: they have gotten MUCH smaller over the years and you are still paying the same or more money. It’s kind of annoying.
I hope that the owners realize people are paying attention to this. If I noticed it, others probably have, too. I understand things are getting more expensive but at least be transparent. I’d much prefer a higher price than less food in my plate. That’s just me.
