Today we bought a bowl from Pokehana. I have been going to this place for years, and it used to be one of my favorite meals. When I tried it, I noticed that the tuna was spoiled and had a green color. We called the manager, but they still refused to refund our money.

First time at this place. The choices are very good and the food is very fresh…. Although I should have listened to the staff on what to put on. Good and refreshing bowl.

The food is good, but the service I received was very unpleasant. The person who served me was rude and showed no interest in providing good service. It’s a shame because the place has potential, but the experience is ruined when customers aren’t treated well. I hope they improve their service and customer care.
I forgot to mention that they made my dish awful because they added way too much garlic at the end, and I couldn’t eat it anymore.

I heard about a sushi place with Okura quality fish, and I had to rush out and see for myself! I did not know that this little venue was a part of the Okura family, and I was so excited to find out it was! The poke bowl I ordered was AMAZING!!! The ahi was firm and fresh, and the girls behind the counter told me it arrives fresh and is hand cut daily. Nothing frozen here! The array of choices to add to my bowl was vast, and I took full advantage!! (For a small charge, I added avocado). The staff and clientele alike were friendly, and happy to be there. With Palm Desert’s finest stopping in on their lunch break. (See pics). I will be back, and soon, because my office is right around the corner. Fast, fresh, sashimi, served instantly!! BOOM!!!!

Yummy! So many toppings to choose from. Glad there’s a poke spot in PD, where there’s an oversaturation of bistros and predictable menus.
