Willie Farkles is you local hometown bar that’s is like home. The owners Bob and Sharon do not know a stranger, everyone is family. The bartender runs the bar like a well oiled machine. The atmosphere is inviting and welcoming the pizza is the best in town. Willie Farkles has been a part of Shelbyville for generations, so if your ever in town stop by and check it out you will not be disappointed. Everyone is treated like family, whether you’re just passing through or local.

My girlfriend loves karaoke so we came out to visit. The place was packed for the small place it was. We had come from an open mic set not far down the road and she had already had her fill on drinks, and I was the designated driver. I had tried to get some water for her at the bar but they wanted to charge me for it and wouldn’t accept any form of payment except cash. So we wait for her song to come up and just before she goes on to sing, they kick us out for not getting anything thing. Some “friendly little bar”. How desperate for money do you have to be? Never visiting ever again.

My boyfriend and I got kicked out for not ordering any alcohol. We went there so I could sing. Moxie told me last week that he does Karaoke there every Tuesday so I told him I would be back to sing. The bartender walks up to us and tells us to leave because we didn’t order any alcohol or anything. I just wanted to share my voice and sing. Never will I come here again. I feel very unwelcomed and disrespected. The bar was full of people and the energy was high so I don’t understand needing to kick 2 people out for just not ordering anything. I didn’t order anything last week and I still got to hang out with friends and have fun. If you are sober and want to sing some karaoke, don’t go to Willie Farkles.

Stopped by on our way through for a drink. Turn in the alley beside the bar as the parking is out back and walk in back door. Nice local bar with back patio area. Lots of step up and downs so careful if you get too drunk that you don’t face plant! LOL. Beer is cold. Local crowd.

These people don’t know how to run anything. The place is cash only and reeks of cigarettes. The cook picks their nose in the back and no one is friendly unless you “belong” there. Screw this place.

So, this is a little dive bar in Shelbyville, Indiana. The atmosphere is kinda trashy. The clientele is a very local and familiar group. If you’re from out of town, you will be noticed. However, the pizza is incredible! They make it fresh, the crust is great and if you order “everything” you will get a pie piled high with stuff. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming even if the patrons are a little clannish. I recommend coming for the pizza alone, but you can stay for the karaoke!

It is a small bar but the atmosphere is nice and the service was great. I met Sarah and she is a good bartender. They have one pool table but I have to say the table looks like it rolls nice and straight. Probably one of the best bar tables I’ve seen for a while.

Passing thru shelbyville, we live in Tennessee. Looking for an adult beverage, we stumbled upon Willie’s. So glad we did, the atmosphere was warm & welcoming, the owner Bob was extremely personable. The patrons made us feel like family ❤️We had the best time, meeting new people & making new friends. We stayed & watched the total eclipse. It was a GREAT afternoon. We didn’t want to leave. I must mention the bar tender Chuck, he makes the best Spanish Margarita I’ve ever had, other then my own! It’s a 4 hour drive from where we live, but with out a doubt, WE WILL BE BACK!!!! Thanks for making our trip so memorable Les & Vicki
