The price of the huevos rancheros was high for what you get 6.99, 2 eggs, refried beans and potatoes. The bacon was ordered separately.
The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium, the potatoes were made fresh crispy on the outside soft on the inside, the beans had a very simple taste to them, the salsa for the eggs was just okay. I ordered a side of bacon which was paper thin bacon to make my plate more filling.

I enjoyed my breakfast; however, a few items on the menu were confusing. One particular item was the super breakfast taco that only comes with scrambled eggs. Any additional ingredients such as: bacon, ham, sausage, tomato, and onions are charged extra at .99 each!

Food was good, however it was only 5 of us eating and they charged us 20% gratuity even though on the wall it was mentioned they would charge 20% if 6 people or over eating. They didn’t give us the receipt, they gave us a copy of where waitress took the order so we were unable to see what they had charged or that they even charged the tip to begin with because knowing that typically they don’t charge gratuity unless it’s 6 people or over we were about to leave extra tip on the table. When we saw the total didn’t make sense for what we had ordered the lady gave us the receipt. Waitress was rude and said that next time we are supposed to say that we are leaving a tip so they won’t charge it, but never have we gone to a restaurant, and before ordering said “hey don’t charge us because we are leaving a tip at the end” because it’s based on service either way and we understand that over 6 people it’s typically 15% gratuity but not when it’s clearly stated in the wall and yet they aren’t honoring what they are saying. At this point they charge 20% gratuity to anyone and without giving you a receipt. We were unsatisfied with how it was all handled.

This was previously Tio Chuy’s Restaurant; Polito’s is the same family and still delicious food, have been a customer for about 15 years now. Daily specials with the BEST sweet iced tea available, the botanas are perfect and at Great prices. There’s also a lunch buffet on weekdays and I love that breakfast can be ordered even after 11 AM.

Great freshly made hot breakfast special – eggs, bacon, refried beans, toast, and coffee for $6.99….a great price.
I will return for sure, as our server was very attentive, quick coffee refills, with a smile every time.
