Overall… the food is very good.
Tripa tacos were great!! (yep there were too small for the price).
Huaraches were very good!
Birria tacos were a bit flavorless. (Need to improve in this item)
7 mares soup was good. Quite a big portion, but it would be better if had more fish and shrimp instead of to many small clams and black mussels. (Stock flavor needs a bit more flavor).
Overall the place is ok.

Eating here again, had the Birria tacos and a lengua and again, it was delicious!
Just had lunch here with my godmother who has been raving about the food as she’s local and has been here more then several times and highly recommends it. The food was fantastic! She had the birria tacos, I had one also plus lengua tacos and they are generous with their portions and the flavors are fantastic! Would definitely come again and again. The prices are very fair! The service was so friendly! Please come support this amazing cantina

Great place for authentic Mexican food and drinks! Recommend the Mulita, which is like a quesadilla but better, and micheladas. You order at the counter when you walk in. High-quality at a great price point.

We stopped by for lunch after a local—one of the kind librarians in town—highly recommended it, and she was absolutely right! From the moment we walked in, we were met with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and outstanding service. The food was incredibly fresh, packed with authentic flavors, and served in generous portions. Our server was attentive and made us feel genuinely cared for. The restaurant itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a cozy vibe. And let’s talk about their piña coladas—so refreshing and delicious!

Hands down the best and most authentic Mexican food in Montezuma County! I had the Birria taco (which won best taco in Cortez and Montezuma County 2023) the fish taco and carne asada taco. SO DELICIOUS! Trust me. Don’t wait. Don’t pass go. Go here instead! Oh and don’t forget to order the hand made Cadillac Margarita from Aldo at the bar! So good All their food and salsas in their salsa bar and hand made to order. Great good at decent prices. You cannot go wrong here!

We sat in the front where there was plenty of light and plants. Ordered the special which was 3 tostadas with choice of meat. Very packed and yummy! Daughter ordered menudo, very good. There was a lot of flies and one flew right into her menudo towards the end of her eating. Loss her appetite and I hoped no flies were going around the salsa bar. Waitress started sweeping while we ate and mopping. Strong fabuloso smell during eating was a turn off.

The service was non-existent. We recently move back to the area, and finally got around to giving this place a try. We walked in, and tried to place our order. The girl at the counter where we order, clearly wasn’t interested in helping us. After we decided what we wanted, we re-approached the counter to place our order. Halfway through placing our order (specifically ordering a quesadilla for my kiddo) the girl took a phone call and proceeded to laugh and giggle in her conversation. She completely checked out of taking our order, without any acknowledgement or indication if she was going to continue taking our order, or just ignored completely from then on. We ended up walking out, and I am sure she didn’t even realize it.

I’ve eaten here lots of times and it is always fantastic. The birria nachos are my personal favorite, but everything’s great. There is a salsa bar with many types of house made salsa that are excellent.

We stopped at this quaint restaurant on a road trip from Telluride, and I was happy with our choice to eat here. The food came out quickly and was good for an inexpensive, quick dine-in spot along our trip. The staff were helpful in giving recommendations and were friendly.
