Throwback Tavern is a fantastic theme restaurant with a great setup inspired by the 80s and 90s. The atmosphere is fun and well designed, with a lot of nostalgic details everywhere you look. The menu has funny and creative names that fit the theme perfectly. There are games for kids, including board games, books, and DVDs, which makes it a great place for families. The food is very good, the prices are very accessible, and the full bar is a nice bonus. The staff service is amazing and very friendly. Totally recommended.

What a fun place! It totally took me back to my high school and college days! They have some great decorations, fun games and even better food. The guava nirvana burger was amazing! The fries were perfect and the fruity pebbles shake was just like having a bowl of cereal. Highly highly recommend you go to Throwback Tavern. Bella was great, super attentive and friendly! You definitely cannot go wrong here. I cannot wait to go back and try more things!

The Fresh Prince was so satisfying, I ate way more of it than I expected. I thought the decor and vibe as so creative and reading the menu was hilarious because of all the nostalgic names they gave to food. It was a great place to go for lunch with my team.

My colleagues and I decided to try the Throwback Tavern for lunch, and we had a great time! Our server, Bella was so sweet and patient; and the food was excellent! I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. We also really loved the nostalgic decor like the pay phones and arcade games. We noticed that they also have events in the evening such as trivia night and karaoke.

We were looking for a local watering hole and found this place. Right away I love the theme of this place. Power 96.5 on the radio!
We were greeted right away by the hostess and sat at the bar. I got the “Throw Back” burger. It was really good. The patty had a great crust on it and the bun was really good too.
The french fries were also good and nicely seasoned. The price for the burger and fries was $14. That’s a good price now a days.
My only thing was. It’s NOT their fault. But I was paying $10 a beer for a draft IPA. NOT their fault because they have to pay the rent in West Pines.
The free arcade is awesome. I will come back because of the food and service.

We honestly stumbled into this place by pure luck — we were already sitting in the plaza when our usual spot turned out to be closed (and I totally forgot it was Monday ). I’m so glad that happened, because we just found our new favorite spot.
As a former owner of a vintage & retro storefront, this place felt like an absolute gem. From the vintage holiday movie posters to the boombox behind the bar, the nostalgia is done right — authentic, thoughtful, and not overdone. You can tell there’s real love behind the concept.
On top of that, the vegan-friendly menu was such a welcome surprise and greatly appreciated. West Pines needed a spot like this — it feels like a hidden gem that somehow flew under the radar.
Thank you for creating something special. Please stay open! We will definitely be back very, very soon.
Ps: our waitress, Bella, was excellent.

Best tasting smash burgers in West Broward. Awesome “Throwback” music that makes you smile. We had a great experience there today! From Natalia, who knows every word to every song, to Kayani, the best at superior friendly service, to Nate who makes the BEST milkshakes ever as he’s making his rounds.
To me, the burgers are the good kind of messy and will make you want to come back. But the staff, service and vibe will make you want to stay!!!

Great accidental find. I didn’t even know this place existed, and my wife and I were so happy we found it. I happened to Google it while I was at the Publix by my house, and wouldn’t you know — it was right here the whole time.
The retro vibe is spot on: free-play arcade games, basketball games on, and the Boomerang network playing classic cartoons like Johnny Quest and Scooby-Doo. The vintage movie posters and boombox details make it feel authentic, not gimmicky.
The vegan food was a big win, and overall this place has way more personality than most bars around here. One suggestion — please add vegan shakes to the menu. You’d absolutely kill it if you did. ✨

Food was good. Restaurant is all 80s and 90s theme which is cool . Mostly 90s theme . Service was really cool. They play old school cartoons on the tv and old school music. They have a mini arcade for the kids or people who want to play old school games. I would recommend to try it out.

Throwback Tavern has amazing food and an incredible staff! The atmosphere is great, I love the decor, the mural with 90s and 2000s characters, and the tavern vibe from the bar and TVs. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend The Wizard dirty soda and the Root Beer dirty soda, which were both very yummy. (The Wizard tastes just like Butterbeer!!) We also had their burgers, The Breakfast Club and the Show Me The Mushroom, which were fantastic. I also highly recommend their Ghirardelli Brownie! Definitely stop by here for great food and great service!
