The location made us raise an eyebrow. It’s in an almost abandoned plaza, empty parking lot. We walked in and wasn’t sure if we’d stay, it was smaller than expected (only had 2 1/2 booths) and a little discerning. We decided to stay and order anyway. OMG! From the first bite! It was delicious, thin crispy crust, we asked for it to be stuffed crust and she said they could (which wasnt needed). I’ve never seen so much cheese on anything my whole life! The gooey melt cheese, just amazing! Fresh ingredients as well! I got a medium veggie pizza, my friend got a large meat lovers. Worth every penny and will be a return customer!!! 110% recommend!

I grew up in New Orleans — eastbank. Not until I moved to the westbank did I encounter Avelinos. The atmosphere isn’t all that, but the pizza is the absolute BEST in the city!

The best meat lovers pizza I’ve ever had, and that was a surprise to me. As a matter of fact, I didn’t miss the pork at all. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did. There’s a nice old lady in the front, and if you choose to dine in, it feels like sitting at grandma’s house. The crust is perfectly crispy, there’s just enough sauce, the meats are delicious, and the prices aren’t bad. I do wish they had a drink fountain. I’d make a trip back out to Louisiana for this pizza place alone.

Absolutely recommend this place to anyone staying in town for a bit. Had a feeling this was going to be the best pizza I’ve ever had, and the kind lady (who I assume is the owner), proved me right! Split the bbq chicken pizza with my teammate, he was just as enamored with it as I was. Clean, customer friendly, and not lacking in variety of options (including vegetarian) either, this place should be on your NOLA food place list! Also halal too.
