The food here was so good, and is clearly made with a lot of love and care. I got the Chicken Pho special and it was delicious!
Good vibes and good ambiance, with exceptionally friendly, fast service. It’s clear that they have lots of local regulars that they know on a first name basis.
I also overheard the owner talking with some customers about the bread they get for their Bahn Mi. After lots of looking for an authentic Vietnamese baguette, they decided to source them from a bakery all the way in East LA. He’ll drive out there himself to bring this special bread back to Santa Monica. I’ll be trying that next time for sure!

Probably the best restaurant Ive been to in a really long time. The food was phenomenal at a reasonable price. I had the bork belly and grilled chicken banh mi’s, the buns had a great crunch with a soft inside and fantastically fresh ingredients.
The customer service was fantastic, you can tell the owner gets to know customers, he knew several people by name during my time eating here.

Charming Bahn Mi counter in Montana Street. Alvin owns the place with his wife. He was lovely-welcoming me warmly. Had a wonderful Noodle Salad with Saigon Grilled Chicken. Delicious. A huge portion and I couldn’t believe I ate the whole thing. A perfect place for lunch or an early dinner!

Vietnamese person here. The food is v good….pretty authentic but fresher than typical, with lots of good veggies. But really what is so memorable and unique about this place is the guy who runs and owns it is just SO NICE. Always smiling and knows everyone by name. It’s rare!

Got a tofu and mushroom sandwich to go. I didnt even go more than 10 minutes and the sandwich is very soggy. The pickled carrot ( very little daikon) was not good. Not even at pickled. Bread was mediocre. Worst banh mi i had so far. Will not return.

This is a nice place! Very small and limited seating. I’d say seats 10 max but tbh we were seated for two at 6pm after I’d say 10 minute wait. The food was good! Not blown away but definitely a solid option. Really nice server and the place was vibrant. Def coming back for lunch. We had the chicken rice bowl and pork belly noodle dish. The pork belly was really good! Highly recommend!!! Oh the portion sizes are really big which is a plus.

Amazing quality both for the soup and the banh mi. Enjoyed everything you had. It’s a bit small inside for the quality and size of the meal is extremely enjoyable. We just wish they had an option for pate on the sandwich which would make it more authentic.

So fresh, clean, and fulfilling! The food here is great, you can really taste the quality… but it’s definitely on the overpriced side.
The space is a bit small, but the wait times were short (10 minutes), so it wasn’t an issue.
The staff were super lovely, with such happy, welcoming energy that made the whole atmosphere feel really good.
