NOTE: they only take cash
The hot and sour soup and the schezwan chicken chow mein were both amazing!
I was a little wary at first because no one else was in the place but I think it was just because of the holiday weekend. Waitress was nice, service was fast, and portions were good. Excited for the leftovers!

Great flavors, but cooked to death. Hot & Sour soup was the best we’ve had anywhere. Egg roll was ok, Szechwan beef was over cooked and tough, but with a good sauce and properly cooked veggies. Might give this another shot.

Amazing authentic Chinese restaurant owned by the nicest lady and her husband. The dishes here are always fresh and steaming with an awesome taste/smell. You can get more value if you dine-in, including a free bowl of egg drop soup! This place has had me coming back week after week and I would recommend it to anyone interested in delicious Chinese food with a great value.

I love this place! The lady who runs it, Li, is a character- somewhat hard of hearing, always has a smile, and makes sure people don’t waste food!
I took a group of coworkers to this quaint little hole-in-the-wall recently and got to impress them all. The food is cheap, portions are big enough for 2 meals, and the veggies are some of the freshest I’ve had from the local Chinese restaurants. Li took everyone’s orders in our group of 8, didn’t write any of it down, and brought it all out to the letter. I was impressed.
I’ve got a couple stories from previous visits that also made me fall in love with this place. I have a friend who doesn’t like his veggies and Li reamed into him like a mother getting her kid to eat broccoli until I swooped in and offered to take it home with me. Once she found out I take the leftovers, she’ll usually just pack my friend’s leftovers for me when we go out to lunch. It really gives it a home-style feel instead of a restaurant.

So not as good as the place I usually go, but it was closed and really wanted Chinese. These ppl hid a piece of too tough (was old) to eat chicken between 2 fresh pieces, almond chicken. The shrimp fired rice was plain!! It had no flavor but oil…no egg, bean sprouts, or green onion, and 2 pieces of shrimp Oh, horrible bedside manners, no customer service skills. NEVER again, food went in the garbage, complete waste of money…. Don’t waste yours.

Stopped here at random for take out. Ate in car. Two of us split a sweet and sour chicken, egg roll and wonton soup. We were very pleased with the portion and the taste. We both ate good food and had some to take home with us. This will be worth the 30 minute drive to come back in the future.

Staff was fast and courteous. The rice flavor was good but undercooked. The beef hunan was lacking in flavor and had zero spice. The beef was dry and they skimped on the sauce. Tons of veggies with little meat. Something tastes off with the egg roll. Will not be ordering from here again.

It was okay, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken lunch portion. Only one slot of rice but a ton of chicken and sauce. The parking for the restaurant leaves something to be desired as well because Michigan Ave is so damn busy. So you maybe forced to park in the neighborhood and walk. Overall it was kind of bland but a good portion
