Friendly folks and tasty food. I did enjoy being alone on my first visit however I would love to see this restaurant get lots of business.
I didn’t take a photo of the meal on my second trip but it was just as tasty.

We came in for lunch to celebrate a new job and had an absolutely amazing experience. Our server was so sweet and friendly and gave excellent service. Her father was the sushi chef and the rolls he made for us were absolutely delicious! There’s a large menu so there are many choices for rolls and also a good selection of sake’s. I highly recommend this location:)

It was fine. Most of the food was decent and the service was good. I liked that they had vegetarian Gyoza, that made me very happy but the sushi was eh. I would go back for the Gyoza though… so I guess that made it better. I’m iffy on 3/4 stars. But since I would go back for the Gyoza I went with 4.

I enjoy this Mio location. Every time I’ve been in, it’s nice and quiet. The wait staff is super friendly and will answer any questions about the menu. The fish is always fresh and tastes like it. On top of that they keep the Sapporo at the PERFECT temp!

Total for my sushi roll was $13.80 with tip. It was tiny! And not very good. I would not go back and would not recommend to anyone.

Tripled their prices. $6.00 for avacado roll. $12.00 for 2 pieces of salmon. And salmon was not the quality we normally get. Bad. Smelled like a fish store in there. not a good sign. Mio used to be the best. Not anymore. 4 plates 56.00 ya never again

Good sushi and teriyaki chicken amazing miso soup! Poor customer service, lady scooted our table forward while we were sitting down because there were people behind us, not that we minded moving it was that she didn’t ask us if we were okay with it, she just did it. They took forever to take our order, understood that they were busy but it was like they were ignoring our table. At one point the lady came over and walked away. Good food just bad experience with customer service.

Mio Sushi is a weird vibe to walk into. It’s definitely a chain, but it’s really cluttered like it’s someone’s small family biz.
I went in and it was slow, with only 2 other tables present. I was served really quickly. I ordered the yakitori and two rolls.
The food is pretty bad, unfortunately. I had the shrimp tempura roll and a roll with eel in it (can’t remember exact name). The eel was slimy and both rolls were covered in a “sweet sauce” which was maybe what was making all of it taste kind of “funky.”
I never received the yakitori, which was fine, because by the time I was done with the rolls, I wasn’t really eager to stick around based on how bad the sushi was.
This was my second time in, with my first one being a few years ago. I was hoping that the quality had improved but it has not.
Portland has a bunch of great sushi places all over the city, so it’s wild to me that there are places that can stay open when the quality of their sushi doesn’t even match what you can get at the grocery store. With Fred Meyer being only a couple blocks away, I’d rather get sushi there than return to Mio.

Uber eats order- tempura was amazing! Miso soup was okay but the sushi was bad. Everything was rubbery and maybe freshly thawed? One bite was so fishy I couldn’t eat it

These guys have such friendly staff who were so excited to get me fed! The qualify of the food was the best I’ve had from a sushi restaurant before and the prices were very reasonable. The menu is so large with so much variety I haven’t been able to try it all but based on what I have tried (mostly rolls and sashimi), the quality will likely meet your expectations. 10/10
