This is a great spot for atmosphere, especially if you were a 1980s kid. The food matches the quality of atmosphere. We enjoyed the burgers and a chicken sandwich with fries and onion rings. Everything was cooked to order. Arrived quickly and was delicious. We ended our meal with the unique treat of honey bun and ice cream.

We are visiting from out of town and stopped at atomic kitchen to grab lunch. The service and food were phenomenal. The Kevin Bacon Jam was very interesting and full of flavor! If we ever are in the area again, we will make sure to stop here! They also have a great drink selection and amazing margaritas! If you are in the bowling green area, you need to stop here!

Drove from Frankfort KY to try this place, was less than expected. First we were placed at a table next to the kitchen door (place was relatively empty, so not sure why). Asked to be moved at the waitress was great about it but girl from the door wasn’t pleased. Our waitress was great, the decor was nostalgic, food wasn’t though. Burgers were salty and everything was cold. The best part was the pretzels and brownie desert. Oh and the disco fries would have been fire if they were hot! It was super clean. Not a total wasted trip but for $125..00 (2 adults and 1 child) it could have been better!

We went for the first time on Saturday around noon. It was pretty busy, but just a 30 min wait for a table. So, we waited because we thought there was so much to look at. Well, the few games were taken by kids and it didn’t take long to look at the place. Nice seating area to wait though, so no big deal. We could’ve eaten outside or at the bar but chose to wait inside. The GhostBusters were outside so that was cool.
It took what seemed like FOREVER to get the food, but it was busy so whatever. The very nice waitress that looked like she belonged on Beetlejuice apologized for the wait and got our drink refills.
The prices seemed slightly high for burgers and fries, but not outrageous. Just about average. I got the Kevin Bacon Jam burger and fries. Onion Rings or loaded fries were $2 more and we didn’t want to spend the extra. Sodas are $2.50 so that isn’t too bad.
The burger was pretty darn good, needed more bacon jam in my opinion. Hubby got The Breakfast Club and he loved it but said it was too small. The fries were pretty good but he liked those more than I did. Some seemed chewy. I liked the crunchy ones.
I think they should add more 80s stuff, add more neon if possible, turn on the light sabers, and add some Mac and cheese to the menu. Ooo and some more arcade games for more people to play. Maybe a TV or screen showing old movies….It would be cool if the staff had 80s stuff on too, but understandable that it could be too much to ask. I think some 80s music was playing, just couldn’t hear it over the talking. Which just means the place is popular, so no complaints there! Overall, we will be back but it may be awhile. We like to try new places.

Creative spin on burgers with a menu that stands out! The Kevin Bacon Jam Burger was spot-on with the perfect balance of sweet bacon jam and tangy homemade pickles. The Predator Patty Melt was massive—easily big enough for two—and the artisan bread was perfectly toasted, holding up without ever getting soggy.

We finished with the Honeybun Sundae, a sweet caramel treat that was the perfect ending.

Atomic City is in a prime spot near SKYPAC and the Bowling Green Hot Rods ballfield, with the bonus of free parking in the garage next door.

But the real highlight? Free arcade games, a wonderful staff, and great music at just the right volume for conversation. This place nails both food and atmosphere—definitely worth a visit!

Atomic Cafe is a blast from the past, dishing up nostalgia and flavors cranked up to eleven.

Filled with toys, posters, music and video game from the 80’s, as a late 80’s kid (86) I felt right at home. The classic glass bottle of Heinz ketchup is a a nice touch at the table.

And the food? It’s super duper! We started with the space balls, which were perfectly fried and had a really nice dipping sauce.

I had to go with a classic double burger and milkshake, and oh boy am I glad I did. The burger was loaded and crispy, as a smash burger should. No ketchup required with this burger, as the signature Atomic sauce was flavorful and really added to the burger.

The milkshake? You want to get a milkshake here. That was one of the best hand made milkshakes I’ve had in a while.

Food, fun atmosphere and a fireplace mantle with family photos, it’s a wonderful place to grab some grub. I’ll be back.

Stopped in here to experience the 80s nostalgia and got that and so much more! It was the best experience from beginning to end! From the nostalgic decor, fun 80s theme food names, excellent service (Emily F), and delicious food! I will definitely be returning and I encourage everyone to come check out this blast from the past!

This is truly such an amazing place! Love the vibe and the atmosphere, not to mention the food. They were pretty busy on a random Wednesday afternoon, so that’s a good sign!

The menu is cleverly themed to match the restaurant, and there are so many creative twists on classic dishes that make this place even more fun.

My kiddos loved that the arcade games were free! Bowling green is lucky to have such a cool spot to eat, drink, and play!
