we got our food right away! they ran out of a few things but we still got the pork and sausage with some pretty awesome side dishes. I really liked the bacon potato salad and my boyfriend liked the mac n cheese the best! great views and the best spot for some food at the zoo

View: A+ spectacular. Worth it for the view.
Atmosphere: happy/friendly.
Menu: very small. 3 meats. Brisket, pork, chicken wings. But sometimes focus on less is good.
Price: a little pricey.
Food: pretty good. Not great. I tried the brisket with pickled okra. Never had pickled okra before. It was good. The brisket was overall good some bites were a little dry.
Beer is available.

Great staff and service. Food was pretty good but the watermelon salad was a little spicy didn’t have a warning…it was still good but I couldn’t share with my guests because their tongues were on fire… bbq was moist, tender, and flavorful. Bread was not hard and the pickle were fresh. Has an amazing view as you dine in and eat…

We were craving a nice BBQ lunch during our visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and the Rocky Mountain Wild Barbecue Co. did not disappoint. With a huge portion of whatever protein you choose, the BBQ Sauce is what brings the meal together. Choose a bbq sauce from something sweet, traditional, or spicy! There are also several choices of sides and other items on the menu to choose from that are sure to satisfy any craving. Then pick a seat and relax as you enjoy your meal and the breathtaking views. It is sure to re-energize you as you continue on the rest of your journey at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Smoked wings were a little dry to my taste…all other food was great…price wasn’t outrageous…maybe what you’d pay in DoorDash…we (4 of us) were very stuffed. For a regular somewhat hungry person you only need 1 protein meal. Oh and the spicy mac and cheese or whatever it’s called is really spicy…the bbq greens were good (1 protein meal, 2 protein meal, pretzel, Diet Coke; around $55)

The chicken and brisket were inedible. Choking hazard level dry and probably leftover from the day before. The cucumber salad had oddly sweet and bitter flavors. Cornbread tasted underbaked. We left the $40+ worth of entrees and went across the street.

Wow, this was an amazing bbq place, way better than one would expect in the middle of a zoo. The half pound smoked pork belly was juicy, tender, and flavorful — two thick slices with excellent mustard potato salad and rich baked beans with chunks of bbq meat. All for $20, plus with an unparalleled panoramic view from the outdoor patio.
I hope they have branches outside the zoo — a real draw to the zoo in any event!

Food here is pretty terrible. We got the burnt ends which were hard and over half the pieces were pure fat. We also go the pulled pork. Both meats were so salty they were inedible. We could only eat a few bites it was so bad. Using the bbq sauce helped us down a few bites but that’s all we could handle. The corn bread was not great either and very dry. The sides were the only decent food we received. Over priced for inedible food.

Had an amazing meal with an amazing staff. Rocco was preparing the food and helping run the cash drawer. He was awesome getting our food to us. He recommended things to us and we had great food. What a nice part to our colorado vacation.
