FYI, this is basically a restaurant where you order takeout, as there is not a space for seating. The grilled cheese and tomato bisque was delicious and full of flavor. I love pesto and the pesto here was tasty. I tried the Mac n’ cheese and it was just okay, nothing spectacular about it. Surprisingly, I loved the carrot cake. Nice chunks of carrots and walnuts. The first one the cake had a slight lemony flavor to it, but it wasn’t too much.

This is a small hole in the wall place with very little parking but really good vegan-friendly choices. We ordered online and drove by to pick up. Front door is locked so you have to ring in. They do have a couple of picnic tables on the walk in front. Their vegan bagel and lox was amazing. They even have bamboo utensils.

We discovered this place by a coincidence. It was a great coincidence! Fully vegan fully delicious. We took a quick lunch to go, the staff is extremely helpful with your order, friendly and skillful. We got the goddess bowl and sandwich. There are nice gluten-free options and it’s good to mention that they do a lot of stuff such as sauces or seitan homemade, which is awesome. We enjoyed it all!

I love Essen! Their waffles & homemade jam make a perfect breakfast, and I highly recommend their breakfast catering for those early business meetings. I don’t mind going into the office for the meetings when I know Essen is the caterer! The pumpkin chili is a perfect lunch for these chilly days, but I have to say the bacon cheddar burger, with its fresh toppings, is the best! I can tell that Essen cares about the quality of their food, it shows in the taste!!

My first experience and will not be my last. Not only did the staff help us with our order guiding us through the menu but also with my friend and mine food allergies. We both got the Chick Pea Dips and the included some corn tortillas and an avocado so we could make street tacos. On the fly and on the spot we were delivered an amazing meal that left us feeling full but also great about the quality of food we ate as well. The Lead Server was SO nice she gave me a Gin-Gin candy to help settle my stomach

Burger was so good my husband had eaten it all before I got my phone out. He has been vegan for years and said it is the best burger he has had in quite a while. Mac and cheese was great I added the breakfast scramble and a sausage to my meal so it doesn’t come the way I took a pic loved all the food they were really nice and everything was vegan so it made ordering a breeze

Absolutely delicious and very friendly staff! My favorite is their vegan lox bagel (have literally dreamed of it) and their waffles! But the biscuits and gravy are out of this world as well. The food is hearty and feels like you’re eating a homemade meal! And you can feel good about supporting them, as I learned today that they pay their employees exceptionally well and are 100% zero waste. Also minority and woman owned. Highly recommend this local OTR staple!

I was in Cincinnati and needed a proper vegan breakfast.. AND FOUND IT! The chorizo breakfast burrito and potatoes were DELISH! I used Uber eats and the food was rest fast and HOT when I received it. Give this place a try!

I’m in town monthly for work and love getting take-out from this place. Wish we had one at home (near NYC). My usual meals are either the grill cheese with tomato soup or the tacos. I usually don’t eat well when I’m on the road but the food here is healthy and good.

I got the biscuit vegetable casserole, and it was just okay. There was maybe an inch of gravy and vegetables at the bottom (if that), which was not enough compared to the size of the biscuits, so it made it very dry. All in all, flavor was decent but I would not ever consider this a true casserole. It was 6 large biscuits over a very very small amount of gravy. I basically paid $30 for 6 biscuits, and then had to end up making my own gravy to pour on top.
