I’ve never been to New York or eaten a chopped cheese before, so I went in blind.
The chopped cheese thing was FIRE. I love warmed-up sandwiches, and that’s what this was, pretty much. Think like a fancier Philly Cheesesteak, I guess.
The service was great. The woman at the front was very helpful and nice. The atmosphere was nice as well.

Amazing food and friendly service!!! I ordered the NYC chopped cheese. It was very delicious, flavorful from the first bite to the last. The bread is so soft and fresh. Definitely going to explore the whole menu. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. Dog friendly! Overall a great experience!

NYC Chop Cheese here in Long Beach?! My Eyes did not deceive me, right near 4th & Cherry. Parking is crazy but dont give up trying to find a parking spot, the Chop Cheese is well worth it.
The inside is kinda small but they do have seating, a restroom is available for customers, and a self service beverage counter
So, I have seen places like this on Food Network but I never er thought id get lucky enough to find one in Long Beach. Upon entering we were greeted by Shawntail, she was bursting with friendliness & personality. She explained what a Chop Cheese was & thats exactly what we wanted. We told her to make it “her” way with all the fixing. Also ordered onions rings and fries. The Chop Cheese was so good, chopped ground beef with bell peppers, onion and loaded with gooey cheese that was so tasty. We had ours with tomato and lettuce. Im a definite fan! The onion rings had the perfect crunch, friends had a seasoning on them that made them special. They give you this sauce, kinda greenish im not sure what it is but so freaking good. I drizzled it over the sandwich and my taste buds were dancing. Yes, that good! Chef Wish, was hard at work getting our masterpiece of a sandwich put together. Both Shawntail & Chef Wish were very friendly and attentive. Got our order out quick and nice and hot. Shawntails personaility will definitely bring people in. She is the face of NYC Chop Cheese, she makes you feel welcome, like your a friend not just a customer. We will be back for sure.

Shawntail greeted us and was so sweet and welcoming. I had my dog with me and she let us know right away that they were a dog-friendly establishment This was our 1st visit but definitely not our last! We ordered the chopped cheese and shared an order of curly fries. BOMB! so flavorful, their house cilantro sauce had a fresh taste that complimented the fries and chopped cheese very well. The food is so awesome here man I’m just lost for words. The staff is very nice and everybody is so nice and welcoming and make you just feel at home. Just make you feel in a different atmosphere. Everything on the menu was phenomenal. The staff all three staff the chicken nuggets. It’s just like a five star restaurant just right on the corner of you know you’re friendly neighborhood area no drama no anything just comfort food just when you need it. Staff is amazing lady Chantelle she is just the best always puts a smile on my face every time I walk in and just knows exactly what I need along with the two guys love this restaurant must try again five stars all the way. Can’t wait to go back.
