Taste is good but the problem is they do not serve water. This could be the only restaurant in the US where I see no water serving. Even when we asked they served us bottled water.

Rates are too high for the serving they give. Staff is nice and polite but staff is not the reason we go to a restaurant.

The bulani was so good!! Both the leeks and potato one. Their chutneys were spicy and sour at the same time, really good.

The omelette was oily but it was still tasty. The worker there was kind enough to customize our order and made us chicken kabob rolls to go for our trip.

Chicken karahi was good but maybe some people might prefer it to be spicy since it was a bit mild but the flavors were tasty. I liked the Afghani naan it was fluffy.

We came here from North Carolina, missing the bulani, I wish they had Afghani restaurants here too! Haha

The only downside is when we came here the A/C was not working and it was too hot to eat inside. There was a longer wait to receive everything but we still enjoyed the food

Wide selection of Afghani and Pakistani dishes with lamb , chicken and beef kababs. Several briyani and Afghani rice dishes. Family owned restaurant and Afghani grocery store and no real wait staff.

Food was outstanding. No frills restaurant but if you’re a fan of Afghan food you can’t go wrong. I had the lamb kebob. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned and a great portion.

Pretty legit authentic Afghan food! Definitely different from Indian food if your thinking its the same. The food is spicy…but like different and less than Indian food. I enjoyed it. Its about on par price wise…17 or 22 bucks for a meal. Remember a lot of food comes so easily 2 servings. I would recommend!

Karahi excellent!, other food we had v good. But too casual: no service (except deliver food-even want you to order online, we had questions and had to search out people to ask), disposable plates/plastic ware (bring your own silverware like we did the 2nd time), drinks from bottles from a cooler, and it’s located in a small market. The prices are high for such a casual place, but I’m guessing that’s necessary since they don’t do much volume.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at [Restaurant A1 Afghan restaurant ], and it was an experience worth remembering. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The decor is a perfect blend of modern chic and cozy elegance, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners or a fun gathering with friends.

The service was exceptional—attentive without being overbearing. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to offer recommendations, which really made a difference when choosing from the diverse menu. I opted for [specific dish], and it was absolutely divine. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch—every bite felt like a little celebration. My dining companion had the [another dish], and they were equally impressed.

What I appreciated most, though, was how every dish felt thoughtfully crafted. You can tell the chef takes great pride in their work, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The wine list was also well-curated, with several excellent options to pair with the meals.

As for the ambiance, the vibe is relaxed yet sophisticated, making it easy to lose track of time. It’s the kind of place where you feel taken care of, without the fuss. I left feeling completely satisfied, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience!

We had the Lamb Beryani and the Chicken Tikka Kabobs. Both were excellent, with delicious spicing and generous portions. The saffron tea was wonderful! The owner was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We’ll be back!

Great portion size for the price. The rice is so good. But the spinach… oh my! I could eat that every day. My friend was equally taken with the chickpeas. Oh. And the saltiness of the salad hit the spot for me. It’s nice to have variety of ethnic offerings in our area and this is a good addition.

My husband and I accidentally found this restaurant while driving on Williamson Rd. and I’m so happy we did! What a delicious surprise! It’s a small, clean restaurant attached to a larger grocery which carries lots of unique foods, spices and other goodies.
We ended up ordering the Chicken Karai and the Shulla. While we waited we were served a small bowl of the most unassuming but flavorful soup! It was spicy and delicious! It was like chicken soup met hot and sour soup with lots of black pepper!
The chicken dish was incredibly seasoned and flavorful! It was served with a basket of bread that we dipped in the sauce. The Shulla rice dish was just spectacular! There were so many flavors that worked so well together. It’s served with a yogurt sauce, I’m usually not a fan of yogurt but my goodness, it was a perfect compliment to the rich rice! One of the owners kept checking on us and seemed so invested in our experience. We are so happy to know that this restaurant is here and cannot wait to return!
