I’m surprised that after 6 years living 5 minutes away from this place, I’ve never heard of it. If you are looking for a decent place with friendly service and a nice (outdoor) atmosphere, this is it.
We went in on a Saturday evening and I’m surprised it wasn’t crowded. They have 2 outdoor decks right on the edge of the Neponset River. This gives a spectacular view of the evening sky and makes for a calm and relaxing dinner environment. Our waiter, Al (or maybe Val), was helpful and attentive. She seemed to be the only one tending to the guests, but managed to stay on top of everything with no time wasted.
I would say that the prices are a bit on the high end for pub food, but what isn’t expensive nowadays anyway. Overall the steak tips were well seasoned and cooked to order, though the mash potatoes were gummy and flavorless on both mine and the wife’s dish. The grilled chicken nachos were delicious, but make sure to share this appetizer because honestly it is a meal of its own. The baby was happy with her chicken fingers and fries.
I will very likely return as long as we have nice weather to enjoy the outdoor setting. I didn’t sit inside, but t looked too stuffy and dark for my taste.

The restaurant was clean and in the hotel. The haddock fish had no seasoning but the fries were good. The lobster was ok it was cold preferred it hot or warm. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She was the only one but once it got busy the service slacked off.

ate on the deck. it was glorious. the weather for early October was amazing. little disappointed that the colors hadn’t changed yet, but that’s climate change. not anything the restaurant could deal with it. I have at the steak tips medium rare they were cooked to perfection. the asparagus was crisp. the mashed potatoes were glorious and the apothec red wine was wonderful. I was staying in Adams Inn so it was convenient to eat at Adams Pub. I ordered take out which was easy to do online. Pick up was very easy on a table outside of the pub.
The first time I ordered in the pub. It had a nice local pub feel. I saw two people doing everything from bartender, serving, taking payment and bussing so it was hard to get the attention of a server to make a takeout order. Once I did it went smoothly. For being so busy, the server was very pleasant and efficiently took my order and payment.
The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was prepared well. The portions were generous.

With nice weather, I assume the outdoor seating by the water will be busier. It can seem very peaceful and magical at sunset. The service was fine, but servers did not seem as available as they could have been. The calamari app was typical. The prime rib was not bad, but was not served to order. Rare was ordered, but order was closer to medium. The scallops with risotto was disappointing. The scallops were perfectly cooked and flavorful, but the risotto was bland and did not taste rich or smooth. I would go back and try other fare as I have had some better food experiences closer to four stars from here before.

BEER GARDEN 06/2020. Visited this outdoor location because the pour house was not open due to covid phase openings. Never visited the Adams pub inside. I LOVED the outdoor seating for the beer garden. Great for social distancing and not very crowded. The views are perfect at sunset. The beers from the pour house were delicious I recommend the peanut butter stout. They also had contactless ordering which was great ! Typical bar food but it was simple and good.

Adam’s is a hidden gym in Quincy right on the water of the Neponset river. It’s quiet with friendly staff and incredible, affordable food. Cod Sandwich and fries runs $13. The outdoor patio on the river is perfect at Sunset.

Al is wonderful. She is thoughtful, have a uplifting personality and treats everyone as number one. She is hard working and we love seeing her. We say we have to go and see Al, we know we will feel special and have a good time. The food is excellent especially the lemon pepper wings we order that all the time. Everyone is great.
