I got
Schezwan chicken
Egg rolls
Chicken wings
And chicken and rice soup. There was so flavor in anything. The wings and egg rolls only tasted like oil and the breading.

Schezwan chicken Was not flavorful or spicy

The egg rolls had no flavor and the soup was just broth and rice. No depth no spice or richness. Not the soup think of on a snow day . Overall 3/10 won’t be returning.

I don’t understand the low rating for this restaurant. I live in the area and this is my go to for takeout Chinese food. I usually get the chicken and garlic sauce, steamed dumplings, or beef lo mein. I’ve never ordered something I didn’t like. The portions are very generous and their prices are very reasonable.

The best hole in the wall Chinese place in the area. We’ve been getting them for over 8 years and never been disappointed. The portions vs price are HUGE for what you pay. Always have leftovers for lunch the next day. Dumplings are delicious and soft, but crispy edges. Chicken and broccoli is the dish I recommend. Shrimp fried rice is always very good as well. Two orders of 8 dumplings, an order of cheese rangoons, a large chicken broccoli with rice (lasted two meals), and a general tsos with rice (lasted two meals). Was $45. Fed four people for multiple days!

Like most people I think, I’m quick to post a bad review but rarely take the time to write a good one. This place deserves my time. As I finish off my Szechuan shrimp, I write. I’ve been coming here a long time and the food is consistently really good and so are the prices. Only thing I’ve noticed, if you order something marked “spicy” and you don’t say anything about the spice, it’ll still come reasonably mild. Looking forward to dropping “spicy good” in the special instruction box next time and seeing what happens. Love this place.

New China House has all the standard menu items you’d want at a Chinese restaurant and at a great price. They are conveniently located and have efficient service. I enjoy the BBQ spare ribs and roasted pork dishes – highly recommend! Thanks for being a staple in our community and comming through for us!

Ordered Szechuan chicken didn’t look or taste like chicken. Someone else got shrimp fried rice shrimp was rubbery. They let us bring back 2 orders of Szechuan chicken and get something else. We got sweet n sour shrimp that was pretty good but the beef again did not look or taste like beef. We threw it out and just shared the shrimp. Crab rangoons were ok other lady got shrimp and broccoli and it was just ok. Crab sticks were just ok. Gave us a stomachs ache. Fried rice was not even fried but drenched in some sort of brown sauce.

I have been eating here for many years. Not sure what happened, after the pandemic it seems the recipes changed. The rice is now orange/yellow and some stuff isn’t to the quality it used to be. The Tofu dishes are still pretty good. Other dishes changed a lot. This is the only place I can get fried rice with no egg in it. They prepare the meals fresh, other places will have a lot of these dishes premade. I would still recommend giving it a try and they’re one of the most affordable Chinese restaurants in this area.

UPDATE: The Rice is back and some new changes to their recipes are back to being top notch
